CANADA'S TRADE DEFICIT $2.7BILLION IN FEBRUARY

   Canada's merchandise trade deficit increased in February as imports of energy products swelled to their highest level since November 2014.
   Statistics Canada said Thursday that the country posted a trade deficit of $2.7 billion in February compared with $1.9 billion in January.
    Economists had expected a deficit of $2 billion, according to Thomson Reuters.
    Imports of energy products climbed 15.4 per cent to $3.4 billion in February as imports of crude oil and crude bitumen gained 15.4 per cent. Imports of refined petroleum energy products increased 24.1 per cent.
