National Review says that President Obama emailed Hillary Clinton on her private email server. Therefore, if Hillary went down for her crimes, Obama would have been implicated as well. As his Justice Department runs the FBI, the administration simply wasn't going to let that happen.

DARLING JUSTIN P!SSING OFF FIRST NATIONS
A group of First Nations plans to launch a slew of legal challenges against the federal government over its approval of the Petronas liquefied natural gas (LNG) project near Prince Rupert, BC.
Calling Justin Trudeau "an outright liar," Donnie Wesley, the highest ranking hereditary chief of Gitwilgyoots tribe, which has jurisdiction over Lelu Island where the LNG terminal would be built, said the project's approval on Tuesdaywas "a slap in the face."

BILL TO AMEND ANIMAL PROTECTION EVISCERATED
A Liberal MP guts his own animal welfare bill in an effort to save it.
But opponents of this latest attempt to modernize animal cruelty laws aren't satisfied. They want Bill C-246 squashed.
Animal cruelty laws are a touchy subject in Canada. Representatives of the so-called animal use industry, including the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, railed against the bill, warning that it represented the thin edge of a gigantic animal-rights wedge.
DARLING JUSTIN'S TURN TO HERD PROVINCIAL CATS
If Trudeau wants the premiers to play ball on carbon pricing, he’ll have to pony up on health care. Call it blackmail, call it canny negotiating … or just call it a return to the good old days, before Harper, when the premiers routinely flexed their muscles at these multilateral meetings.
NOTHING TO SEE HERE. MOVE ALONG
A young Montreal man suspected of having gone to Syria and adhering to “extremist Islamist” ideologies was able to keep his firearms licence for years and to legally purchase semi-automatic rifles while he was the subject of a terrorism investigation by the RCMP, a La Presse investigation has found.

A Toronto charity that preaches an alternative method for teaching math to kids has been honoured with an international award for innovative educators.
TRUDEAU'S MAGICAL MYSTERY CLIMATE PLAN
Canada’s approach to “fighting” climate change is based on magical thinking.
Consider: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced to much fanfare that he is going to ratify the Paris climate treaty.
In doing so, he has pledged to lower our industrial greenhouse gas emissions linked to climate change to the same levels as former prime minister Stephen Harper promised, back when the Liberals called Harper a climate denier.
WYNNE'S GREEN ENERGY FALLOUT
The residents of a modest, very nicely kept Niagara Falls bungalow did a double-take when they opened their latest hydro bill.
Yes, it was $677.24.
About $300 of it was left over from what they couldn’t afford to pay last month.
Shocking. Disturbing. Expensive.
“Our bill in June was $135, July $199, $259 in August and now $372 for September,” said Fran.
PAKISTAN NOW ON NOTICE
India said on Thursday it had conducted "surgical strikes" on suspected militants preparing to infiltrate from Pakistan-ruled Kashmir, making its first direct military response to an attack on an army base it blames on Pakistan.
"The bigger message is that Pakistan is now on notice that cross-border attacks would be part of our response if there are any more terrorist attacks," said former Indian air vice marshal Manmohan Bahadur.
NOTLEY TAKING CREDIT WHERE IT ISN'T DUE
Notley happily took credit, patting her herself on the back for helping Ceapro blossom thanks to funding from a government agency, Alberta Innovates (formerly the Alberta Research Council).
That $1.6 million didn’t come from the NDP government but from the old Progressive Conservative government in 2011. The NDP did provide a top-up of $800,000 in 2015 but the original grant, indeed the entire “Biosolutions” program to help diversity Alberta’s economy, is thanks to Ed Stelmach
JUST TAKE HER WORD FOR IT
The Alberta NDP government is refusing to release a study showing the economic impacts of the carbon tax, despite demands to do so from the opposition Wildrose.

RUSSIA RESPONSIBLE FOR MISSILE
International prosecutors investigating the downing of flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine in 2014 say the Buk missile that hit the plane was transported from Russia.
All 298 people on board the Boeing 777 died when it broke apart in midair flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
QUEBEC NEWSPAPERS: GIMME MONEY
Several newspaper publishers in Quebec have formed a coalition to demand that the provincial government establish a funding program to help them shift to digital.
The coalition says its members are all confronted with declining revenue, in part because advertising money has flowed toward social media platforms.

OTTAWA GIVES CONDITIONAL APPROVAL TO LNG IN BC
The federal government gave conditional approval Tuesday to the massive Pacific NorthWest LNG project planned for British Columbia's northwest coast.
Environment Minister Catherine McKenna, Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr and Fisheries Minister Dominic LeBlanc travelled to Richmond, B.C., to announce their government's acceptance of what is expected to be one of the largest infrastructure investments in Canadian history.
There are 190 legally binding conditions attached to the approval, McKenna said.
DEPORTING THE FAMILIES OF TERRORISTS
Israel does it. It works. We should do it too: After every terrorist attack, the U.S. and Canada should deport every one of the terrorist's relatives.
OBAMA'S CLIMATE CHANGE AGENDA FACES CRUCIAL COURT HEARING
The Obama Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) climate change mandate goes to court yet again today, as the D.C. Court of Appeals hears oral arguments on the EPA Clean Power Plan.
The Obama climate change regime, embodied in the Clean Power Plan, follows the mold of an EPA acting on its own ideological bent, from ruling that carbon dioxide is hazardous to human health to asserting its authority over every stream and wetland in the country, regardless of opposition.
BABY BOOMERS CAN NOT AFFORD TO RETIRE
This divide is clearly seen in various data and survey statistics such as the recent survey from National Institute On Retirement Security which showed the typical working-age household has only $2500 in retirement account assets. Importantly, “baby boomers” who are nearing retirement had an average of just $14,500 saved for their “golden years.”
THE DESPERATE STUNTS OF HILLARY AND HOLT
Donald Trump's main opponent in the first presidential debate wasn't Hillary Clinton. It was NBC anchor Lester Holt. Hillary, with forced smiles as brittle as china and an eerie fake laugh, continued her primary debate strategy of repeating canned talking points while waiting for the moderator to knock off her opponent. Hillary wasn’t there to debate, but to once again seem like the only possible option.
Trump was hit with repeated personal attacks and gotcha questions by Holt, who then took to arguing with him over the facts.
But Holt’s overt bias also proved to be his undoing. Holt made his agenda clear at the outset. And it also made him easy to ignore, as Trump frequently did.
HILLARY'S WORN OUT DELETE KEY
A potentially explosive nugget from the FBI's Friday document dump of investigatory notes from the Clinton email probe has been all but ignored by the media. And that is the revelation that Hillary Clinton deleted 1,000 work-related emails between herself and General David Petraeus from his time as the director of the United States Central Command.
NO DOUBT IT WAS JUST A MISTAKE
Ontario’s Opposition is accusing the Liberals of continuing to fundraise in secret even after the premier instituted a rule that her caucus members must advertise such events.
But Progressive Conservative Todd Smith noted in question period today that a $700-per-ticket fundraiser with Energy Minister Glenn Thibeault next Wednesday wasn’t posted online.
JUST SLAP A DELIVERY CHARGE ON THEIR HYDRO BILLS
Anthony Haines won’t talk about privatizing Toronto Hydro, except in generalities. Mayor John Tory is exploring the idea of selling part of the century-old electrical utility. Mr. Haines says that’s a political decision and, as Hydro’s chief executive, there is a limit to what he can say.
He will say this, though: Hydro has a problem. It faces billions in expenses if it wants to keep the lights on in the booming, changing metropolis that it serves. Those billions will have to come from somewhere.
WYNNE'S MAD PURSUIT OF EXPENSIVE UNRELIABLE ENERGY
Of all the spending scandals Ontario’s Liberal government has been involved in since 2003, none has been bigger than its mad pursuit of expensive, unreliable and unneeded wind, solar and biofuel energy.
No other scandal — eHealth and Ornge pale by comparison — has cost present and future generations of Ontarians more money.
Tuesday’s announcement that Premier Kathleen Wynne is cancelling all future large-scale wind, solar, biomass (and, irrelevantly, hydro) projects — about 1,000 MW of excess capacity given the province’s huge energy surplus — is too little, too late.
Reminds me of a cat covering shit, thinking no one notices the stinking pile under the groundcover.
TRESPASSING DRONES
Well-known TV personality Mike Rowe shared an interesting story on Facebook yesterday.
He was awakened Tuesday morning by the sound of a loud humming noise. Still partially asleep, he jumped from his bed, naked as a baby bird, and threw the drapes aside. He was faced with a camera pointing right at him, hanging from a drone.
FAILURE OF TRUDEAU'S SOCIAL LICENCE
Nor is it politically possible to put a tax on carbon that’s high enough to do the trick.
That tax would have to rise to about $200 a tonne by 2030, Prof. Jaccard figures – and voters, he argues quite correctly, would never stand for it. (The highest carbon tax right now is $30, in B.C., and Christy Clark, the Premier, doesn’t dare to raise it further).
In a policy paper released last week, Prof. Jaccard argued that the only way to do it is by stealth – through a series of stringent (and admittedly inefficient) regulations that are too complex and too opaque for anyone but the experts to understand.
CYBERSECURITY DISCUSSIONS WITH CHINA
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has directed his top security officials to discuss a cyber accord with China to help protect Canadian corporations from hackers. Such a dialogue has profound implications for Canada’s business community, given that Chinese government hackers are frequently seen as adversaries with a voracious appetite for corporate intellectual property as well as state secrets. Past victims of Chinese hacking campaigns include the federal government’s National Research Council and, allegedly, the former telecom giant Nortel Networks

NET ZERO DROPPED FOR PUBLIC SECTOR BARGAINING IN ONTARIO
Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown said the government never really abided by their own net zero terms anyway, so dropping it "seems pretty meaningless."
"It was a Wynne stretch goal in the first place," he said.
CORRIVEAU TRIAL STARTS TODAY
The long-awaited trial of Jacques Corriveau is set to begin Monday afternoon at the Montreal courthouse, 11 years after the Gomery Commission first named him as an important player in the sponsorship scandal that saw millions of dollars pocketed by advertising and design firms — as well as the Liberal Party of Canada — in the name of national unity.
TURKEY HAS NO PLACE IN NATO
Islamists have taken control of Turkey’s government.
Erdogan himself, both before and after the failed coup, has been working steadily to transform Turkey into an Islamist state. As of today, Erdogan has succeeded. Although not an Iranian theocracy, Turkey’s leadership is explicitly Islamist.
Its values and goals are antithetical to American interests and those of NATO as an alliance of free, democratic states that respect the rule of law.
Such a nation has no place in NATO, despite its previous history as a critical American ally.
PROTECTING THE INFORMATION AT STATISTICS CANADA
Mr. Smith stepped down after fighting unsuccessfully to free Statistics Canada from Shared Services’ government IT department, which Mr. Smith said jeopardizes the number-crunching agency’s independence and integrity. As well, he said the model the government created for the government-wide IT management is doomed to fail.

WEANING VANCOUVER OFF FOSSIL FUELS
Vancouver’s Zero Emission Building Plan has shone fresh light on council’s ambitious plan to wean the city from all fossil fuels by 2050.
A family that converts from gas to electricity will spend an extra $1,500 a year on space and hot water heating, according to FortisBC, which connects about 1,400 new customers in Vancouver each year.
“Natural gas is the cheapest option people have.”
Customers who use biogas currently pay twice the price of natural gas.

PHYSICIANS QUESTIONING THE ONTARIO MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
She says the OMA has lost the support of many rank and file doctors because it isn’t accountable or transparent.

YOUR SACRIFICE HAS NOT GONE UNNOTICED
A nonprofit group called 2x4's for Hope has raised enough money to build a village of 50 tiny houses and a community outreach center for homeless veterans who don't qualify for other programs within Kansas City.
Volunteers from the Veterans Community Project broke ground on the project earlier this week with hopes of having its first order of ten tiny houses standing next month.

Officials at a prestigious private D.C.-based think-tank are trying to hide their data showing how immigration is imposing massive costs on wage-earners and on taxpayers.
HILLARY'S 65% ESTATE TAX GRAB
Hillary Clinton recently released a tax plan pledging a confiscatory tax rate of 65 percent on the estates of people who want to leave their life’s work to their families.
H CLINTON'S RADICAL VIEWS ON IMMIGRATION
As Byron York first reported, earlier this week, Clinton’s campaign indicated that she believes the world has a global right to immigrate to the United States—a position that essentially dissolves the United States’ status as a sovereign nation.
CANADA'S INCURIOUS LEFTY PRESS
The Liberals’ sense of privilege and entitlement (so prevalent when they were last in power) has once again reared its smug, ravenous head.
So where is the elite and media outrage? Where are the sanctimonious calls for the prime minister to resign? The social-media accusations that he must be the brains behind a dastardly plot to defraud the treasury and even – gasp! – undermine our democracy?

$17 BILLION LOSS IF CANADA HAS HOUSING CRASH
Canada’s top financial regulator is beefing up capital requirements for mortgage insurers to make sure they are adequately accounting for the creditworthiness of borrowers and fast-rising real estate markets. In his June report, Mercer estimated that a housing crash in Canada could result in combined losses of more than $17 billion for Canadian banks and mortgage insurers.
DECENTRALIZATION THE KEY TO HEALTHCARE REFORM
Despite high levels of public spending, Canada’s health-care system consistently performs more poorly than a number of peer jurisdictions with universal health-care systems. Governments across the country must address this policy challenge in a context of constrained resources, as the federal government and a number of provinces currently face increasing debt loads and other significant fiscal challenges.
RUSHING CITIZENSHIP GRANTS DUE TO ELECTION
Just a couple of days ago we noted that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had "mistakenly" granted citizenship to over 850 immigrants from "countries of concern to national security" even after they had been flagged for deportation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Now, newly disclosed DHS emails, indicating a rush to "process as many [citizenship] cases as possible due to the election year," may help explain why so many "mistakes" were made.
70% HAD OUT-OF-STATE IDS
Confirming what many had suspected when viewing the sudden and intense collapse into anrchy that occurred in Charlotte this week, Todd Walther, spokesman for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fraternal Order of Police told CNN's Erin Burnett:
"This is not Charlotte that's out here. These are outside entities that are coming in and causing these problems. These are not protestors, these are criminals."\"We've got the instigators that are coming in from the outside. They were coming in on buses from out of state. If you go back and look at some of the arrests that were made last night. I can about say probably 70% of those had out-of-state IDs. They're not coming from Charlotte."
HOW IS THIS NOT CLASSIFIED?
But perhaps the most interesting finding emerged from the "Miscellaneous" section in the Huma Abedin interview, in which it was revealed that none other than president Barack Obama had used a pseudonym in his communication with Hillary. In an April 5, 2016 interview with the FBI, Abedin was presented an email exchange between Clinton and Obama, dated June 28, 2012 with the subject "Re: Congratulations", Clinton's aide did not recognize the name of the sender.
"Once informed that the sender's name is believed to be pseudonym used by the president, Abedin exclaimed: 'How is this not classified?'" the report says. "Abedin then expressed her amazement at the president's use of a pseudonym and asked if she could have a copy of the email."
WHEN YOU CAN'T TRUST THE FBI AND THE DOJ
Isn't it time for the FBI -- or some decent agent or agents -- to fess up to save the rapidly declining reputation of their organization? That the Bureau has been under attack of late for failure to identify terrorists because of overweening political correctness has only exacerbated the public perception that all is far from well in the J. Edgar Hoover Building.
"FAMILY MAN" ASSAULTING WOMEN & CHILDREN
Keith Lamont Scott, the latest martyr of Black Lives Matter and its media propaganda corps, was shot while waving a gun around. He had spent 7 years in jail for “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.”
HILLARY CLINTON'S "UNETHICAL AMNESIA"
The late New York Times columnist William Safire famously called Hillary Clinton a “congenital liar.” Others have called her a “pathological” liar. Maybe what really ails her is what two researchers are calling “unethical amnesia.”
Unethical amnesia is a defense mechanism that helps our minds by “forgetting about the times we’ve acted unethically.” In other words, when we cheat, lie, and act in other dishonest ways, our minds try to erase that behavior from our memories in order to protect ourselves from ourselves.
LISTEN UP WYNNE
Blizzard: In her ongoing attempt to kick-start the second half of her mandate, Premier Kathleen Wynne released “mandate letters,” for all her cabinet ministers Friday, telling them what she expects of them.
As a keen observer of Queen’s Park, I also have some suggestions for Wynne and her cabinet. In the spirit of helpful co-operation, I’m passing along some of my own suggestions Wynne and her ministers to help them govern this province with a modicum of common sense.
INCREDIBLE LIGHTNESS OF LIBERAL RHETORIC
It was a remarkably answer-free encounter with the parliamentary press gallery, in which one had the sense that the prime minister was trying to prove that he could smile and speak for 20 minutes without saying anything.
Questions about the government’s intent — on everything from pipelines to votes in the Commons — were met with airy replies of what the government believes. One colleague joked afterward that if the prime minister had been asked about the weather forecast, his reply would have been: “I believe in daylight.” Or sunny ways, perhaps.
CHINA'S DELICATE SNOWFLAKES
In a clear case of out of sight, out of mind, Chinese officials visiting Ottawa for talks with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau this week did not want to see protesters across the street from the delegation’s hotel. So they requested the construction of a large temporary “privacy wall.”
WHAT WILL WYNNE SELL IN ITS PLACE?
The province has scratched a high-stakes scheme to sell off Ontario’s $3.8-billion-a-year lottery business because the prize wasn’t big enough. The Liberal government hoped to reap a cash windfall by selling off the lottery franchise, which includes Lotto 6/49 and numerous other games.
DON'T CONFUSE HIM WITH FACTS
The federal government’s own internal polling contradicts the Immigration Minister’s claim that Canadians are clamouring for increased immigration.
John McCallum told reporters last week that “almost all” of the Canadians he met with during consultations this summer told him to boost Canada’s immigration targets.
However internal polling conducted by Mr. McCallum’s department found Canadians are just fine with the current targets

HACKERS STOLE DATE FROM 500 MILLION USERS
Yahoo Inc said on Thursday that at least 500 million of its accounts were hacked in 2014 by what it believed was a state-sponsored actor, a theft that appeared to be the world's biggest known cyber breach by far.
Cyber thieves may have stolen names, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of birth and encrypted passwords, the company said. But unprotected passwords, payment card data and bank account information did not appear to have been compromised, signaling that some of the most valuable user data was not taken.
FUNDING FOR SUPPORT
In his March 22 budget, Trudeau committed C$8.4 billion ($6.5 billion) in funding over five years for the country’s indigenous population, aimed at reversing a long-widening gulf in living standards that has been condemned by the United Nations.
“The C$8.4 billion that was announced has not yet gone out to the communities,” Perry Bellegarde, national chief of Canada’s Assembly of First Nations, said in an interview. Indigenous support is a critical component for major energy projects in Canada, with groups divided on proposals. Trudeau will soon decide Kinder Morgan Inc.’s Trans Mountain pipeline expansion, Petroliam Nasional Bhd’s Pacific NorthWest liquefied natural gas project and Enbridge Inc.’s Northern Gateway project. A group of First Nations chiefs signed a pact Thursday to work to stop Canadian oil development.
NOW THEY'RE NOT COMFORTABLE
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s top two staffers are reimbursing some of the expenses they claimed for their moves to Ottawa, they said in a Facebook post Thursday evening.
Chief of staff Katie Telford and principle secretary Gerry Butts say they aren’t comfortable with the "personalized cash payouts and incidentals" they received as part of the expenses covered by the government when they each moved from Toronto to Ottawa to work for Trudeau.
Such integrity.
BENEFITTING THE CLINTONS
A site called newsjunkiepost.com has some very interesting facts and allegations about the Clintons and Haitian relief, where billions of dollars have been raised with little benefit to the Haitians but considerable benefit to the Clintons.
The Interim Haiti Recovery Commission is estimated to have collected $5.3 billion over two years and $9.9 billion over three years, without reconstructing much of anything.
CONDITIONED HELPLESSNESS
While visiting New York City on 9/21, London's Mayor Sadiq Khan evidenced mild chagrin in saying terrorist attacks should be seen as “part and parcel of living in a big city.” He added, “It is a reality, I'm afraid, that London, New York, and other major cities around the world have got to be prepared for these sorts of things.”
Mayor Khan makes it clear that preparing for the sort of thing that causes streets to run with the blood of dozens of innocents should not involve a military response. He advocates police staying “in touch with communities” and “exchanging ideas and best practices.”
THE LONE WOLF LIE
Virtually every time a terror attack has occurred, the actor initially portrayed as a solo plotter lurking under the government’s radar turns out to be -- after not much digging – an already known (sometimes even, notorious) Islamic extremist.
As amply demonstrated by Poole’s reporting, catalogued here by PJ Media, "lone wolves" --virtually every single one -- end up having actually had extensive connections to other Islamic extremists, radical mosques, and (on not rare occasions) jihadist training facilities.

$907 MILLION PAID IN CORPORATE GRANTS
Ontario's Liberal government has handed out over $907 million in corporate grants since 2013, with the largest amounts going to profitable high-tech companies and big automakers.
Progressive Conservative critic Monte McNaughton says the government has refused to release the names of companies that received corporate grants between 2003 and 2013, many of which were awarded with no public application process.
"Instead, the minister and the premier, behind closed doors, hand-picked the companies that would receive the payouts, by invitation only," said McNaughton.
WYNNE: ONTARIO HYDRO COST HIKES WORTH IT
Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne says the soaring energy bills in the province are “worth the cost” if it means the air is cleaner.
Ontario’s Auditor General has reported that Ontarians have over-paid $37 billion for power between 2006 to 2014 and will hand over $133 billion more by 2032 because of a “global adjustment” electricity fee on hydro bills.
FLIP FLOP BROWN
Saying he wants to lead a “fiscally conservative, socially liberal” party, PC Leader Patrick Brown now admits it was a “mistake” to court social conservatives.
THE CLINTON LIE RATCHET
Bill Whittle: Hillary’s Health scandal is still unfolding, but to understand the conflicting and ever-more-unlikely stories we are seeing and hearing, it is useful to recognize and understand the pattern that Hillary (and Bill) Clinton revert to when being confronted with unflattering evidence. I like to call this the Clinton Lie Ratchet.
GENEROUS CANADIAN TAXPAYERS
Two of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s top aides billed taxpayers more than $200,000 in moving expenses, mostly for legal and real estate fees covering the sale of their million-dollar Toronto homes, The Globe and Mail has learned.
Gerald Butts, the Prime Minister’s principal secretary, and Katie Telford, his chief of staff, were reimbursed for moving their families from Toronto to Ottawa, a source told The Globe.
$17 MILLION IN SEVEN MONTHS
Federal departments and agencies spent nearly $17 million on cab rides in the first seven months of the Liberal government to transport bureaucrats, ministerial officials and even patients, according to new documents tabled in the House of Commons.
EPA'S BACK DOOR DEALINGS
Washington, D.C. – Today, after a long-delayed, nearly 500-page document production from EPA last week, the Energy & Environment Legal Institute (E&E Legal) updated its report detailing the degree to which EPA worked with outside special interest groups such as the Sierra Club, Clean Air Task Force and NRDC to craft its global warming rules. This report includes new revelations about senior EPA officials’ work on what one called an “offline channel” with reporters, industry lobbyists and green groups on numerous EPA rules with the intention to circumvent federal record keeping and transparency laws.
WYNNE REWARDING HER FRIENDS WITH TAXPAYERS' MONEY
A firm headed by the man just reappointed as campaign manager for Kathleen Wynne’s Ontario Liberals has received almost $3 million in contracts from various Ontario government departments and bodies ranging from Wynne’s own office to the Ontario Energy Board.
A review of contract information obtained through freedom of information requests at Queen’s Park shows Gandalf Group, headed by Liberal strategist David Herle, has been awarded contracts worth roughly $2.7 million since Wynne became premier.

ALBERTA'S MINISTER OF HYPERBOLE
Alberta Environment Minister Shannon Phillips issued a stark warning Tuesday about the impact of a changing climate and the consequences for environmental policy if the NDP government loses the next provincial election.
In a speech opening the Pembina Institute’s climate summit, Phillips said policy-makers are working to avoid a future where the world is “ungovernable” because of an economic collapse caused by an overheated planet.
CALLING TIME ON COMPANY PENSIONS
Many of the details of the tentative contract signed between General Motors and its union, Unifor, are unknown.
Nor do we know how much Canada’s federal and provincial governments will be expected to chip in to win this new investment for Ontario.
What we do know, however, is that this deal, if ratified, will drive one more stake into the heart of company pension plans across Canada.
Canada’s largest private-sector union has acknowledged that it can no longer even pretend to support defined-benefit pension plans.
DEMOCRATIC REFORM COMMITTEE BESET BY INFIGHTING
Alberta's government house leader is accusing opposition members of deliberately derailing the work of a flagship committee on democratic reform.
Brian Mason also left open the possibility the all-party legislature committee could be left on the scrap heap when its mandate expires next week.
The children are not playing together well.

LIBERAL SUMMER OF SPENDING
The summer recess for MPs began after the House of Commons’ last sitting on June 17. It lasted: 94 days
During that period there were: 1,447 funding commitments made.
The combined value of those funding commitments is: $7,848,257,596
JAMMING THE BLADES
Wind farm opponents are telling companies jockeying for new Ontario green energy contracts to enjoy the moment — it’ll likely be their last chance.
After a decade-long losing streak before environmental review tribunals and courts, activists trying to halt industrial wind farms say they sense the political ground is finally shifting in their favour now that power rates have become a hot urban issue and the Liberal government is taking notice.
RECOGNIZING A LIBERAL PILE OF MANURE
To no one’s great surprise, Premier Kathleen Wynne and her Liberals were booed at the International Plowing Match in Minto Tuesday.
That’s no shock.
The Liberals are wildly unpopular in rural Ontario, where sensible folk realized years ago that their Green Energy Act and failed hydro policies are ruining their businesses, their lives and their livelihoods.
HOLDING GREEN BULLIES ACCOUNTABLE
An outstanding example of how unfairly-attacked companies should respond is Resolute Forest Products, the world's largest producer of newsprint. It has courageously and boldly led the charge in fighting back through the courts. Others should follow suit.
In 2013, Resolute filed a defamation suit against Greenpeace in Ontario, Canada Superior Court which is still making its way through the court system there. Then this May the company filed a federal racketeering suit against Greenpeace in the United States.
Bravo! All other companies should take the same stance. To ignore or accommodate these extremist organizations is to surrender to them.
GO BERNIER!
Canada needs to scrap the capital gains tax and slash corporate taxes as a way to enhance economic growth, Conservative leadership hopeful Maxime Bernier said Tuesday.
In a speech to a business audience, the Quebec MP outlined what he called an ambitious plan to unleash Canada's productive forces even as he thumped familiar Conservative tropes.
"Prosperity does not come from government spending but rather from entrepreneurs' investing," Bernier told receptive members of the Canadian Club.
LIBERAL ENTITLEMENT: $1.1 MILLION IN MOVING EXPENSES
The Conservatives are accusing the Liberals of “entitlement” and "lining their pockets" after it was revealed they approved more than a million dollars in relocation costs for staffers -- including more than $200,000 for two members of the Prime Minister's Office.
A RAT LEAVES THE LIBERAL SHIP
Premier Kathleen Wynne’s lead fundraiser has stepped down amid a reorganization of the Ontario Liberal Party as it begins a ramp-up to the 2018 election.
Bobby Walman, who had been the head of the Liberals’ campaign-finance system for eight years, confirmed Monday that he had departed over the summer.
Mr. Walman kept a low profile as he expanded the Liberals’ fundraising efforts. Even Integrity Commissioner J. David Wake had difficulty getting Mr. Walman to speak with him when he investigated a controversial Liberal fundraiser earlier this year: Mr. Wake had to issue a summons to compel Mr. Walman’s co-operation after Mr. Walman ignored Mr. Wake’s requests for a meeting.
CHALLENGING CANADA'S DAIRY INDUSTRY AT THE WTO
Canada’s heavily protected dairy industry has ended up in the crosshairs of foreign farm groups from Europe to the United States to Australia, with these lobbies now pressing their respective governments to launch a new trade challenge at the World Trade Organization.
COURT JUDGEMENT STANDS RE NORTHERN GATEWAY PIPELINE
Natural Resources Minister Jim Carr won't appeal a recent court decision that overturned the former Harper government's approval of the controversial Northern Gateway pipeline project.
Earlier Tuesday, Northern Gateway also said it wouldn't pursue an appeal.
The Federal Court of Appeal ruled in June that the federal government had not adequately consulted with Indigenous peoples who will be affected by the project, which is backed by the energy company Enbridge, and which would stretch from outside Edmonton to Kitimat, B.C.
ONTARIO'S INCREASINGLY RESTRICTIVE NEONIC REGULATIONS
Ontario MPP for Huron-Bruce, Lisa Thompson, has launched an initiative aimed at addressing concerns that the next phase of Ontario’s neonicotinoid regulations will unfairly limit farmers’ choices and the professional reach of agriculture professionals.
Last week, Thompson introduced to the provincial legislature Bill 4, the Supporting Agricultural Experts in Their Field Act, 2016, in counter to changes set to roll out in August, 2017.

LIBERAL HYPOCRITES
Federal Climate Change Minister Catherine McKenna finally admitted the painfully obvious on Sunday.
She acknowledged the Trudeau Liberals are not going to toughen Stephen Harper’s targets for reducing industrial greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions linked to climate change.
LEFTY PRESS CONTINUES TO PROTECT HILLARY
With the mainstream media choosing to lambast Donald Trump's reference to the explosion in NYC as a "bombing," CNN - for some reason - decided to edit out the opening sentence of Hillary Clinton's statement to the press. Barely able to keep her eyes open, Clinton also called the attacks in New York and New Jersey "bombings," according to ABC transcripts but CNN chose to omit that sentence...
LANDSLIDE ELECTION VICTORY FOR PRO-PUTIN PARTY
Most voters do not see any viable alternative to Putin and his allies, and they fear a return to the chaos and instability of the 1990s, the period immediately after the collapse of the Soviet Union, if his rule ends.
REPEAT: RIP UP THE CONTRACTS
Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne concedes skyrocketing electricity rates are an “urgent issue” for the Liberals, but experts say there is little the government can do in the short term to fix the growing problem.
Experts my ass.
MEDIA GROUPS VERSUS RCMP
Forcing journalists to act as investigators for police would undermine the critical role news outlets play in a free society, a coalition of media organizations argue in documents filed with Ontario's top court.
Journalists, the group argues, must be able to gather news by communicating with citizens who are in an adversarial relationship with the state.
AN EXPENSIVE SUMMER FOR CANADIAN TAXPAYERS
MPs return to the House of Commons on Monday, officially ending their summer of spending, a summer that saw government MPs hand out cheques for almost $8 billion for at least two tennis courts, several hockey arena renovations, two flagpoles and one gazebo.
There were also cheques for umpteen multimillion-dollar science grants, dozens of wastewater treatment plants, a handful of overseas development projects and, of course, plenty of federally funded summer festivals.
POPE: HOSPITALITY TOWARDS REFUGEES IS GREATEST SECURITY
Pope Francis has urged Europeans to take in more refugees, asserting that the best way to combat terrorism is by warmly welcoming migrants and helping them integrate into the “European context.”

RIP UP THE GREEN ENERGY ACT CONTRACTS
Ontario’s power prices are soaring out of control, industry is leaving the province, the Liberal government is panicking over its re-election prospects, and almost everyone agrees there’s no remedy, that the ludicrously lucrative long-term contracts that the Ontario government signed with wind and solar energy developers condemn the province to many more years of economic hardship.
Except there is a way to deal with the onerous contracts — rip them up. There is no compelling economic, environmental, moral or legal case for the government to “honour” odious contracts. The only honourable course of action for the government, in fact, is to admit its mistakes and pass legislation declaring those contracts null and void.
MUSKOKA RESIDENTS SUING ONTARIO MNR
Unhappy with flood damages this spring, a group of Muskoka property owners has launched a class-action suit against the Ontario government, underlining long-held complaints by area residents about the way the province operates water-control structures in the region.
According to a statement of claim filed on Wednesday in Barrie at the Ontario Superior Court, the plaintiffs are seeking $900-million in damages, alleging the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources failed to adequately control the water levels of Lake Joseph, Lake Muskoka and Lake Rosseau.
INTELLECTUAL-YET-IDIOT CLASS
What we have been seeing worldwide, from India to the UK to the US, is the rebellion against the inner circle of no-skin-in-the-game policymaking “clerks” and journalists-insiders, that class of paternalistic semi-intellectual experts with some Ivy league, Oxford-Cambridge, or similar label-driven education who are telling the rest of us 1) what to do, 2) what to eat, 3) how to speak, 4) how to think… and 5) who to vote for.
ONTARIO IS FAILING ITS RURAL RESIDENTS
People don’t always appreciate that rural Canada is part of the fabric of the country. People who live in rural communities deserve economic development and career opportunities and things for young people to do” as much as city dwellers.
Despite the frustrations and the perceived slights, rural residents aren’t pessimistic about the future. There’s a tenacity and a dedication to a way of life they believe has value.
POWERPOINT WARRIORS AT FFCO
“Perhaps their (Farm and Food Care Ontario) (FFCO) approach is wrong and they need to revisit how they are fighting (activist attacks),”
FFCO has no idea that this is a fight. It is going to a war with a PowerPoint presentation.
Agriculture needs to quit funding organizations, like FFCO, that fall far short of their goals. Animal activism is ramping up and people are no more sympathetic to farming. To top it off, Farm and Food Care Ontario has a conflict of interest. It gets paid to train OSPCA inspectors. It wouldn’t want to lose that gig.
GLEN MURRAY, REALITY DENIER
Ontario’s climate change minister should stop insulting political opponents and start answering some questions.
By the way, we do not want ANY form of carbon pricing, revenue neutral or not.
WYNNE'S LIBERAL PR TOOL
Suppose you were premier of Ontario for a day and you chose to give away a handful of Snickers bars every month to each person who has an account with Hydro, would you choose the pomp and ceremony of a speech from the throne to announce it?
Of course not, unless your name is Kathleen Wynne, our actual premier, and her accomplice, House Leader Yasir Naqvi, who seem to think Parliament is yet another Liberal PR tool to be used for their own political purposes.
NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF PIPELINE OPPOSITION
The bond rating company says credit ratings will decrease for pipeline companies that don’t have access to international markets which could mean higher debt servicing costs, more difficulty signing new deals and an increase in re-contracting risks.
With the stalling, opposition and outright rejection of key projects, it’s clear there are more uphill battles to endure to get pipelines approved so we can transport hydrocarbons for the benefit of Canadians across the country.
BALLOT "IRREGULARITIES" IN MISSOURI DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY
A political newcomer, Bruce Franks, scored a landslide victory Friday in a court-ordered special election to decide the Missouri 78th State House District Democratic primary election.
Even though the special election results should place Franks on the November ballot, the lawyers are not done debating the results of the first election.
Congressman Lacy Clay wants a federal investigation, which would be conducted while similar probes are carried out by St. Louis and Missouri officials.
SHOOTING HEROIN IN THE STACKS
Public libraries are becoming havens for drug offenders -- especially heroin addicts, according to a new report.
The AP says the "unfettered public access, quiet corners and nooks, and minimal interaction with other people" that make libraries ideal for studying and reading [and I would add viewing porn, since libraries have become safe spaces for porn addicts in recent years] also make libraries a popular place to shoot up heroin.
LEFTY PRESS PAYBACK AGAINST TRUMP
Saturday on MSNBC’S “AM Joy,” Media Matters senior fellow Eric Boehlert suggested the press could get “payback” after Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump duped the media Friday during a news conference at his new hotel in Washington D.C.
So, business as usual.

THE STENCH OF QUEBEC'S GREEN HYPOCRICY
Whether it is an astute public investment or the product of political favouritism, this much is true: the cement plant, which is located on the southern flank of Quebec’s Gaspé Peninsula, will emit between 1.8 and 2.2 million tonnes of greenhouse gases a year after it starts up this fall. This will make it the largest emitter of carbon in the province, according to Canada’s environment ministry, and will dwarf the yearly emissions of Shell Canada’s oil sands operations in Fort McMurray, Alta.
The new project wasn’t submitted to an environmental review process, which includes public hearings. The governmental logic was that the original project was proposed in 1995, months before Quebec adopted far stricter environmental standards for new projects. Therefore, it should be held to those 1995 standards.
BLACKLOCK vs. GOVERNMENT OF CANADA
In 2012, the Copyright Act was amended by Parliament, making it illegal to circumvent a “technology protection measure” that controls access to copyrighted material.
CANADA POST PENSION PROBLEMS: $8.1 BILLION
In a bizarre idea the Union wants the Canada Post 8.1 Billion dollar pension deficit to stop being counted. Since the taxpayers are on the hook for the shortfall, why keep up that embarrassing counting. Better to pretend it doesn't exist.
STATISTICS CANADA HEAD QUITS
The Liberal government's bid to rebuild bridges with Statistics Canada came crashing down Friday with the resignation of the chief statistician, Wayne Smith, over concerns that federal information-technology arrangements are hobbling the agency. In a letter to the council, Smith said he can't support federal initiatives to centralize IT services that effectively undermine the independence of Statistics Canada, which the government has committed to protect.
THE USELESS UN
U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric said there would more than 1,100 bilateral meetings between leaders at the United Nations during the next week.
He summed up the annual gathering: "It's the World Cup of diplomacy. It's the Oscars of diplomacy. It's also an interesting fashion week."
DIRTY ATTORNEY GENERAL OF NEW YORK
While Attorney General Schneiderman can’t be bothered to do anything but cheer the Clintons, he has made it his mission to target Trump. Earlier this year he made the rounds of seven national news shows in one day in his assault on Trump University. Now he’s gone beyond Trump University to the Trump Foundation.
When the Attorney General of New York comes calling with a lawsuit in his left hand while his right hand is stretched out like a bellboy waiting for a tip, it’s hard to tell the state’s top prosecutor from the mob.

LONDON'S MAYOR: IMMIGRANTS SHOULDN'T ASSIMILATE"
London’s Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan has continued his pro-Hillary Clinton tour of the United States by declaring that immigrants into the West should not be forced to assimilate.
The United Kingdom, and especially areas of East London which overwhelmingly voted for Mr. Khan, is currently suffering from Muslim ghettoisation, horrific employment rates for Muslim women, an internal debate surrounding the banning of the burka, and ongoing issues such as female genital mutilation, anti-Semitism, and homophobia within Muslim communities.BLACK POLICE OFFICER SUES BLACK LIVES MATTER
The head of a Dallas police organization is suing a collection of Black Lives Matter figureheads and other prominent individuals for allegedly inciting racial violence against American police officers.
2016 REPORT: ECONOMIC FREEDOM OF THE WORLD
Since our first publication in 1996, numerous studies have used the data published in Economic Freedom of the World to examine the impact of economic freedom on investment, economic growth, income levels, and poverty rates. Virtually without exception, these studies have found that countries with institutions and policies more consistent with economic freedom have higher investment rates, more rapid economic growth, higher income levels, and a more rapid reduction in poverty rates.

SARKOZY THE CLIMATE SKEPTIC
Presidential hopeful Nicolas Sarkozy reckons that climate change is not caused by man [alone] and that the world has far bigger problems on its hands than global warming.
CANADIANS' APPETITE FOR CREDIT
The insatiable appetite of Canadians for cheap credit has been well-documented since the Great Recession, as consumers piled on debt by ever-increasing numbers.
Now, household borrowing has reached a new milestone, of sorts.
For the first time, the level of debt held by Canadians has exceeded the country’s gross domestic product as the red ink spilled over in the second quarter to 100.5 per cent of GDP, up from 98.7 per cent during the previous three-month period.
APPROVE THE LIFE-SAVING SURGERY
What Trent Hills Mayor Hector Macmillan doesn’t have is the approval of the Ministry of Health to get that much-needed, life-saving operation.
He doesn’t have the $300,000 needed to go the United States and have the procedure done there.
HANJIN SHIP HELD HOSTAGE OVER PAYMENT DISPUTES
A lawyer for Hanjin Shipping Co Ltd (117930.KS), the failed South Korean container carrier, said on Thursday a U.S.-bound vessel was held "hostage" by disputes over payments, adding to the struggles in getting $14 billion of cargo off its ships stranded at sea. Hanjin, the world's seventh-largest container line, filed for bankruptcy last month, leaving more than 100 ships and their cargo at sea and threatening to snarl U.S. freight traffic as the year-end shopping season approaches.
ELIZABETH MAY'S BACKROOM TACTICS
According to Tyrrell, he tried for years to have a face-to-face meeting with May. When he finally did, he told her that “we can be transparent about” the Quebec Green Party’s positioning to the left of the federal Green Party. “But she would never agree to transparency, because she doesn't want to say that she's not left, so instead she turns to these insider, backroom tactics of giving orders to people not to associate with us. That's poor leadership. She should really rethink what she's doing and ask herself, ‘Who is responsible for this wave of division in the Green Party?’”

BLOWIN' IN THE GREAT LAKES WIND
The Obama administration has released a new offshore wind power strategy that includes building a load of wind farms in the Great Lakes while Ontario sits on its hands. We’re worried (officially) about stirring up sediments and contaminating our own and U.S. drinking water. They evidently aren’t so concerned.
PROGRESSIVES' INFLUENCE IN AMERICAN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
As you study the decline of our public schools and see the tsunami of sophistry and deceit, you start to wonder: who promotes all this stuff? Who defends it? No normal person would want our public schools to be increasingly mediocre. What's going on?
It's not easy when you're on the outside to answer these questions. You can see the dysfunctional theories and methods operating in public schools. But the people responsible for the quackery are not likely to claim credit.
EXPOSING A COVER-UP BY LYING ALARMISTS
Everyone knows that before the global warming scare began in the 1980s, scientists were much more worried about global cooling and the coming ice age.
At least everybody did till a cabal of lying climate alarmists – one then a senior administrator at NOAA, now a president at the World Meteorological Association – hijacked Wikipedia, published a lying paper, and rewrote history by painting the 1970s Global Cooling Scare as an urban myth.SLAMMING THE DOOR ON USA SMALL CAR MANUFACTURING
Ford Motors has now announced it intends to move all its small car manufacturing lines out of Detroit and the U.S. and into its Mexico-based plants.
In a September 14 statement, Ford CEO Mark Fields insisted that in the “next two to three years, we will have migrated all of our small car production to Mexico and out of the United States.”HILLARY GREEDY; BILL HOME WITH BIMBOS
Colin Powell shared his unvarnished opinion of the Clintons, in an email he sent to Democratic financier Jeffrey Leeds in 2014.
MERKEL DEMANDS: HIRE UNQUALIFIED MIGRANTS
Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Thursday that Germany needed “viable solutions” to integrate refugees into the workforce faster after she met with blue-chip companies, which have hired just over 100 refugees since around a million arrived in the country last year.
Many of the companies contend that a lack of German-language skills, the inability of most refugees to prove any qualifications and uncertainty about their permission to stay in the country mean there is little they can do in the short term.
Surprise.
CANADA POST'S MESSAGE TO LIBERALS
If mail service came accompanied with appropriate sound effects, a task force report on Canada’s postal operations would have landed this week to the sound of a crying baby at dawn, accompanied by a pile driver digging up the next-door driveway, just as you awake with a hangover
TRUDEAU: CANADA HAS NO CORE IDENTITY
But Trudeau takes this all for granted.
He doesn’t think there is anything special about Canadian history or traditions.
Instead, he suggests Canada is nothing but an intellectual construct and a hodgepodge of various people, from various backgrounds, who just happen to live side by side in the territory known as Canada.
Trudeau seems embarrassed, even ashamed of our Western culture and values.
PATRICK BROWN FACING INTERNAL STRIFE IN PC PARTY
If Ontario Conservative leader Patrick Brown thinks he has an easy road ahead of him leading up to the 2018 provincial election, then he may be in for a bit of a shock.
That’s because despite the Conservatives having led in the polls since he became party leader more than 15 months ago, Brown is staring at a series of major internal issues that threaten the notion the Tories will cruise to victory in the next election.
DUMPING DEBT INTO THE FUTURE
"I think anybody who's advancing the theory that going massively into deficit is going to create jobs, is going to create innovation … is 180 degrees in the wrong direction. It's been proven time and time again," the leadership candidate said.
"I don't care if it's the Queen of Sheba. If you're advancing theories based on left-wing ideology that means more tax and more spend, it will not create jobs, and I will stand by that forever."

CLINTONS & OBAMAS CAN'T STAND EACH OTHER
Seems that Colin Powell is the latest target of the hacking group DC Leaks which apparently posted a treasure trove of 30,000 emails from his private account late last night. One of the more interesting exchanges is the one below between Powell and Democratic mega donor Jeffrey Leeds which confirms what we've all known all along, namely that the Clintons and Obamas can't stand each other.
BEGGING BOMBARDIER
Canadian government officials should make up their minds on a financial aid request by struggling aircraft maker Bombardier, the Quebec finance minister said.
More on Bombardier's history of begging: Early in his tenure, this M.P. went on one of those fact-finding trips that so annoy taxpayers. One of the stops on this junket was the German office of Bombardier.
“So,” said the M.P., “why does Bombardier focus so much on selling to government? Why not focus more on the private sector?”
The reply was blunt, going something like this; “Because governments are suckers.”

ONTARIANS PAYING FOR LIBERAL PROMISES
The Ontario government's throne speech came with billions of dollars in new promises, but the opposition parties are questioning how the Liberals plan to pay for them.
Lower electricity bills and more child-care spaces are on the way, the government announced in its speech outlining priorities for the new session. Removing the eight-per-cent provincial portion of the harmonized sales tax from hydro bills is expected to cost taxpayers about $1 billion a year.
Creating an additional 100,000 licensed child-care spaces for children aged four and under will cost $600 million to $750 million in operating costs and $1 billion to $3 billion in capital funds over five years

CENTRAL BANK MANIPULATION & MADNESS
Central Bank manipulation of interest rates is great for some folks, and devastating for others. Long term risks are extreme, and the scary moment will come when interest rates rise.
WYNNE LOW-BALLING CAP-AND -TRADE COST
Since Premier Kathleen Wynne says she is resetting her government with a new session of the legislature, now would be a good time for her to come clean on the cost of carbon pricing to Ontarians.
So far, the only increase in the cost of living the Wynne government has acknowledged under its cap-and-trade scheme is a hike of $156 annually per household, starting Jan. 1, due to higher gasoline and natural gas prices.
CLIMATE SKEPTIC FILES SWEEPING RICO LAWSUIT
This is a civil suit against Climate Action Network and other corporations, who engaged in a long-term criminal scheme, involving a false claim that anthropogenic release (or emissions) of carbon dioxide caused a dangerous “global warming” or a dangerous “climate change”, and persecution of the dissidents or demanding government actions, based on this false claim, including money transfer.
FOUND: HMS TERROR FROM FRANKLIN EXPEDITION
HMS Terror, the second of Sir John Franklin’s two ships that were lost in the Canadian Arctic 168 years ago, has been located in an uncharted bay in Nunavut, according to an exclusive report in the Guardian. The find comes almost exactly two years after Parks Canada located HMS Erebus, Terror’s sister ship, and is already being hailed by those familiar with the Franklin story as a major step in helping solve the mystery of what happened during the ill-fated 1845-1848 expedition.
CBS CAUGHT EDITING CLIP
For the latest example why much of the US population has lost trust in the mainstream media, consider today's snafu in which CBS News was caught editing a video clip and transcript to remove a Bill Clinton comment that Hillary Clinton "frequently" fainted in the past.
AVOIDING THE MOMMY WARS
All you wanted to do was Google breastfeeding tips, or find a local lactation consultant, or maybe get some tips on what formula would suit your baby best. Instead, you get a barrage of hormonally charged commentary about being an evil mother and contributing to everything from the dumbing-down of culture to global warming. Yes, that’s right: your choice to use your boob will impact the polar ice caps.
WYNNE'S WAY: ENERGY POVERTY
Out in rural Ontario, far away from the lush grounds of Queen’s Park, a crisis is brewing. Electricity rates have soared so high that many people can’t afford to pay their hydro bills. Local charities have a name for it: energy poverty. The problem is so bad that they’ve set up relief funds to help protect families from the threat of disconnection.
No wonder Kathleen Wynne, Ontario’s Premier, is running for cover. The Liberal government’s energy policy has been a disaster for lower-income citizens, especially in rural areas, where delivery charges are significantly higher.

PM TRUDEAU IGNORES 9/11, SHOWS UP AT MOSQUE
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited a gender-segregated mosque Monday morning whose imam is a member of a group considered a terrorist organization abroad.
While there, he spoke about Canadian values, including equality, even as men and women were completely segregated inside the mosque with men on the main floor, women upstairs, something Trudeau even alluded to.
HOW GENEROUS OF HER
Premier Kathleen Wynne announced Monday that on Jan. 1, 2017, she’s removing the 8% provincial sales tax on the electricity bills of Ontarians.
Why are hydro rates so high? Because the Liberals brought in their costly Green Energy Act and added a massive bureaucracy and an alphabet soup of agencies staffed with Liberal hacks.
They pushed the cost of electricity into the stratosphere with their wacky schemes and cozy deals. And apparently Wynne was the only person who didn’t know the havoc they were wreaking.
GREASED PIG CONTEST CANCELLED
After 13 years of uninterrupted running, the greasy pig event at the South Mountain Fair was cancelled this year amidst an outcry from animal activists and concerns that a provincial grant could be in jeopardy.
The issue erupted when animal activist groups, including one called the Toronto Pig Save, began circulating a video of the contest.
H CLINTON, THE TRUE VULGARIAN
She has lied her way to prominence for thirty years without a shred of actual accomplishment. She claims all manner of achievement but there is none; she has remained in the public realm for no reason but her last name --which she reluctantly took. She accomplished exactly nothing as a senator and was a wholesale disaster as Secretary of State. And she still claims to be qualified to be commander in chief! She is not. She is a mediocre intellect, an ideologue that has done far more harm than good. The mess that is the Middle East is in part on her. But she did get very, very rich.
REINTRODUCTION OF TRADITIONAL ROTE LEARNING
Ontario is churning out high school graduates unable to add fractions or multiply numbers without the help of a calculator, math experts say. The Ontario Grade 1-8 curriculum begins with the notion that mathematics study needs to teach children to think critically about complex issues, to analyze and adapt to new situations, and to communicate their thinking effectively.
