The federal Liberals are increasingly treating the government of Canada as if it were their party’s private fiefdom.
They have held fewer sitting days of the House of Commons in the last year than in any 12-month period in our history. They are on a pace to spend twice as much taxpayer money this year than last year without introducing a budget or even spending estimates.
Now comes the revelation that without any competitive bidding, without the ability for opposition parties to fully hold the government to account and seemingly without the ability of the auditor general to adequately scrutinize the use of funds, the Liberals have put one of Justin Trudeau and Sophie Gregoire Trudeau’s favourite charities in charge of nearly $1 billion in grants to encourage students to volunteer their time this summer.
The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.

FLORIDA SHERIFF TO DEPUTIZE GUN OWNERS
Clay County, Florida Sheriff Darryl Daniels announced in a Tuesday video that he will "make special deputies out of every lawful gun owner" in the county if he has to in the event BLM protesters overwhelm local police forces.
GETTING TESTED MEANS GETTING DEPORTED
Located just 100 metres from one of Leamington, Ontario's main intersections, the residence of the undocumented workers is a sprawling structure that has clearly seen better days. The paint is peeling, shingles are curling, and some of its filthy windows are cracked.
Yet it is home for nearly 20 foreign farm labourers — most of them lacking the proper permits to work in Canada. Men who are now trying to balance concerns about COVID-19 with fears that the act of getting tested might get them deported.

ANCHORS AWEIGH ON SHIPBUILDING COSTS
The defence department denies it ever misjudged the cost of a project to buy new naval ships even though the price tag jumped from $2.3 billion to $4.1 billion in less than two years.
And DND admits the cost to taxpayers for the vessels could rise even more in the coming years.
But the $4.1 billion price tag is just the latest in a series of steadily increasing cost figures. In June 2018, the government acknowledged the cost of the ship project had, at that time, jumped from $2.3 billion to $3.4 billion.

AUTONOMOUS ZONE CLEARED IN SEATTLE
Seattle Police have arrested at least 23 individuals following Mayor Jenny Durkan’s (D) order to clear out the “autonomous” zone, known as the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP), as authorities continue in reclaiming the zone held by demonstrators for weeks.
Mayor Durkan issued an executive order on Wednesday to clear out the autonomous zone, citing “several gun violence incidents — two of which resulted in the loss of life — hostile crowds, the inability of emergency personnel to move quickly and efficiently in the area due to the barriers, narcotics use and violent crime — including rape, robbery, and assault — increased gang activity, business harassment, noise disturbances, property damage, open fires, and ongoing violations of the Seattle Parks and Recreation’s Code of Conduct,”

RUSSIAGATE'S LAST GASP
On Friday The New York Times featured a report based on anonymous intelligence officials that the Russians were paying bounties to have U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan with President Donald Trump refusing to do anything about it. The flurry of Establishment media reporting that ensued provides further proof, if such were needed, that the erstwhile “paper of record” has earned a new moniker — Gray Lady of easy virtue.
TEACHERS & STUDENTS PAID FOR CHARITY WORK
A key piece of a much-scrutinized $900-million program to get youth working in the community will also pay teachers $12,000 each to recruit and mentor students over the summer.
The Canada Student Service Grant program, which pays students and recent graduates to work with community organizations across the country, has come under new scrutiny after it was revealed the WE Charity was selected by the federal government as the only group able to administer the program. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his family have appeared multiple times at WE events.
The decision to pay teachers to recruit and manage their own students — even for an opportunity that would financially benefit the students — has surprised some.
