TRUDEAU DECLARES WAR ON ALBERTA OIL
If there was any doubt that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will pursue his climate goals at the expense of the Canadian economy, it was put to rest by his remarks at the COP26 conference in Glasgow on Monday, when he used the international forum to openly declare war on Alberta’s oil and gas industry.
“We’ll cap oil and gas sector emissions today and ensure they decrease tomorrow at a pace and scale needed to reach net-zero by 2050,” said Trudeau. QUEBEC GETS $13BILLION A YEAR IN EQUALIZATION PAYMENTS
Quebec represents about 22 per cent of Canada’s population but gets 61 per cent of the equalization pot. WORKERS LEAVING HOME CARE JOBS IN DROVES
Nurses, personal support workers and therapists have left home care in droves during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We lost literally over 3,000 nurses and skilled therapists and personal support workers to other parts of the health-care system,” said Sue VanderBent, the CEO of Home Care Ontario, which represents home-care providers in the province.
Home care workers left their jobs for better pay in hospitals and long-term care homes, she said.

ALBERTA WORKERS LAUNCH HUMAN RIGHTS COMPLAINT
The complaint was made Thursday to the director of the Alberta Human Rights Commission citing “attempted assault of APS employees and AHS employees.”
The complaint names Deputy Minister of Executive Council [the premier’s ministry] Ray Gilmore and AHS President and CEO Dr. Verna Yiu and cites a number of alleged violations of the Alberta Human Rights Act (AHRA) code of conduct.
The complaint also references the Freedom of Information and Protection Act (FOIP) and states “employees are under no legal obligation to disclose private protected medical information,” and charges that demands for disclosure of vaccinations status is unlawful.
