The federal government threatened travelers on Thursday with fines if they don’t the ArriveCAN app prior to boarding a plane as airports throughout Canada struggle with ongoing delays and extended lineups.
In a tweet by the official Health Canada and Public Health Agency of Canada Twitter account, the department warned that travelers who have not completed their ArriveCAN screening could be charged and face other consequences.
In the tweet, Health Canada also laid the blame on travelers for the ongoing airport delay crisis. This is not the first time that the federal government has refused to take responsibility for the backlogs.
The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.

FORMER STAFFER BLEW WHISTLE ON PATRICK BROWN
Patrick Brown’s former campaign regional organizer has revealed that the Brown campaign was allegedly illegally paying her through a corporation.
Debbie Jodoin, a long-time supporter of Brown’s, began working for the Brown campaign as a regional organizer in May, but claims she parted ways with the campaign on June 3 over concerns that the campaign was violating the Canada Elections Act.
Jodoin alleges that Brown told her there was nothing wrong with a corporation paying her as a consultant while working on the campaign. Corporations contributing to leadership campaigns are forbidden.

ROXHAM ROAD ILLEGALS TO BE SENT TO ONTARIO
The Trudeau government has approved a plan requested by Quebec to ship asylum claimants who illegally cross into Canada via Roxham Road into Ontario cities such as Niagara Falls and Ottawa.
Quebec authorities have pleaded with Ottawa in recent months to alleviate the stress the influx of migrants has caused for the province.
The government of Quebec is now requesting more help, claiming that the province does not have the services or capacity readily available to take in such a large quantity of migrants.
In the first five months of this year, between January and May a record number of 13,000 illegal border crossings took place.

A WAKEUP CALL OVER CENSORSHIP IN BILL C-11
The recent contretemps between the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission and Radio-Canada about the use of the n-word during a radio segment reminds us that the CRTC is all about the control of speech. Usually, the commission farms out its censorship to a specialized agency, but this time it did the dirty work itself. Two commissioners dissented, arguing that the CRTC was engaging in censorship without regard to the right to freedom of expression set forth in the Constitution.
As a result of the controversy, more people are becoming aware that they are subject to CRTC censorship.
Back in May 2021, the Canadian chapter of the Internet Society wrote in Le Devoir that Bill C-10, now repackaged as C-11, the Amendments to the Broadcasting Act, vastly expanded the range of “broadcasting” and hence what would need government permission. You can only “broadcast” by virtue of a licence or in conformity to regulation. That is the law: to expand the definition of “broadcasting” is to expand government regulation.

NATO'S STRATEGIC CONCEPT - 2022: DO LESS
The European Parliament pointed out that Russia is implementing strategies of hybrid war against the EU and its member states.
In December 2021, the Russian Federation demanded that NATO halt further enlargements, pull back forces and weaponry from the countries that joined the alliance after 1997, and stop operating within striking distance of potential targets of Russia. The latter includes most of Northern, Central and Eastern Europe.
Since then, the situation escalated into the unprovoked and unjustified full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Russian leadership has alleged it was due to the danger of Ukrainian NATO membership, an aspiration that ironically was a direct consequence of more than eight years of Russian aggression against that sovereign nation.
But Ukraine is only an object and not the strategic aim of a broader Russian hybrid war. This is a conflict between Russia and the West over the world order, and the conflicting ideas of the authoritarian “Russian World” and Western liberal democracies. A Russian victory in Ukraine is, however, a prerequisite for its global ambitions.

13.6 MILLION COVID JABS TO BE TRASHED
The Trudeau government will be disposing of over 50% of the national supply of Covid-19 AstraZeneca shots as doses reach their expiry date.
Efforts to ship AstraZeneca vaccines to other countries or even healthcare providers within Canada were unsuccessful as the federal government couldn’t find any takers.
A total of 13.6 million doses have reached their expiry date and will be tossed into the garbage.
