As we've noted in the past, here in Canada, you really don't see free-minded citizens spontaneously rally to defend victims of expropriation-without-compensation. At best, people slow down to gawk and stare while they drive by the gory scene. Thankfully, we do have groups like the
Frontier Centre (to tell stories you won't find on the CBC).

ReplyDeleteThe only way (maybe) you could get landowners off their arses to fight for property rights is if every landowner was experiencing loss of land use without compensation at the same time, But that isn't the way it happens. The regulations pick them off one at a time over generations.
ReplyDeleteAs long as the grass at their feet is green sheep don't think to much about the ground it is in and they let the dogs drive them anywhere
