SYRIA'S IDEA OF "CARING"

Syria told the U.N. Security Council on Friday that no one cares more about the Syrian people than President Bashar al-Assad's government after the United Nations accused rival parties in the five-year conflict of war crimes by starving civilians.  It is the second meeting the council has held on the issue this week after images emerged of starving civilians in the town of Madaya, which is besieged by pro-Syrian government forces. International relief organization Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) said it has confirmed 35 deaths from starvation in Madaya.

STATE DEP'T SUDDENLY DISCOVERS MORE CLINTON DOCUMENTS

In other words, the Abedin emails will come out too late to influence the Democrat primary, and most of them will be released after the 2016 election. That’s why you slow-walk FOIA requests and pretend responsive documents just randomly tumble out of closets months or years after you were supposed to produce them, folks.
In the disclosure that outraged Judicial Watch, the State Department declared it had satisfied the court order for Clinton documents in November… but then, as it explained to the court on Friday, it “located additional sources of documents that originated within the Office of the Secretary that are reasonably likely to contain records responsive to Plaintiff’s request.”

"CLIMATE DEFENCE" ARGUMENT IN CRIMINAL CASE

Climate activists on trial for blocking an oil train may be about to set a controversial legal precedent. According to Mother Jones, for the first time in American legal history, activists will be allowed to present their concerns about climate change as a legal defence for their allegedly criminal actions.

WANG'S ONE-STOP SHOP FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

A  B.C. man pulled off one of the most sophisticated immigration frauds in Canadian history.  It was a vast, complicated enterprise — one of the most sophisticated immigration frauds authorities said they’d ever seen — and very lucrative. Wang collected some $10 million from about 1,200 clients for his “fraudulent services,” a court would find.

IGNORING EGREGIOUS HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS

While the West is looking to lift sanctions against Iranian leaders in a few days and normalize ties with Iran, it is critical to look at the egregious human rights violations that this country is allowing. Is being silent and turning a blind eye to these human rights abuses appropriate? Doesn’t normalizing ties with the Iranian leaders and releasing billions of dollars to them, facilitate their efforts of executing more people, including women and child girls?

GENDER IMBALANCE: THE SIMMERING POT

Steyn:  It took Beijing three decades of a ruthlessly enforced totalitarian crackdown to arrive at a sex imbalance of 119 boys for every 100 girls. Sweden has caught up in nothing flat simply by being the second most welcoming country of "Syrian" "refugees". And Germany is nipping at China's heels, with about 114 boys for every 100 girls - which means New Year's Eve in Cologne may soon be a year-round event.

HILLARY'S LEAD DISAPPEARING

Mrs. Bill's lack of authenticity and general awfulness have always been her real problems. The difference between now and 2008 is the social media explosion. The Clintons are very adept at strong-arming old media to create various myths around Hillary, but they haven't been able to collar new media. Positive Bernie memes are everywhere and Hillary never wears well with increased exposure so most attempts by her handlers to make her more likable on social media have been miserable failures.
