Throughout his term, Trudeau and his Environment Minister Catherine McKenna have been trying to impose “Canadian values” on the world order. They pontificate at every opportunity to lecture countries about gender values, equal pay, human rights, et cetera, and try to leverage these during international trade negotiations.
At home in Canada, we’re being told that what was called a carbon tax being shoved down our throat is really a tax on pollution.
But it’s OK, it seems, if we pollute other countries, especially a developing country like the Philippines. No wonder we’ve become the laughingstock of the world.
