WORK-FROM-HOME COSTS TAXPAYERS $36.2 MILLION

Access to Information records show the federal Public Works Department spent more than $1 million buying work-from-home chairs and desks for 20% of its employees.

Blacklock’s Reporter says managers offered employees either delivery of a free chair and office supplies, or a $500 grant to buy their own.

The same records says a total $36.2 million was spent by all federal departments and agencies on all work-from-home chairs, desks and other materials.
