NEW EXPENSES IN FREELAND'S ECONOMIC UPDATE

OTTAWA — The Liberal government’s latest fall economic statement (FES) includes $7.3 billion-worth of increased spending on programs that already existed or were contained in the 2022 budget in the spring.
