GOVERNMENT = CRIMINAL INCOMPETENCE

You just can't make this shit up.
The province spent $240 million implementing the new case management software for Ontario Works (OW) and Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) workers. It took a total of four years to develop and implement the Social Assistance Management System software. Its first day in operation was on Nov. 12...At least 17,000 payments were generated erroneously in less than a month, totalling $20 million.

BOY, YOU GOTTA LEARN HOW TO FARM THE MAILBOX!

"Words of wisdom" from a local farmer years ago (let's just say our respective philosophies regarding fiscal responsibility and government dependency in agriculture were somewhat divergent).
Mandatory AgriStability Participation Removed From Enrollment Criteria for Ontario RMP Program
Hell, while we're at it, let's throw this in the mix too (probably not related)...

WHEN YOU LIE DOWN WITH DOGS

You shouldn't be surprised to wake up with fleas. Or is it bees?
It seems the love affair between Ontario agriculture and the Wynne Liberals isn't as sweet as honey any more.

HOW COME ONTARIO'S NEW CONSERVATISM...

THE STATE OF DEPENDENCE

News: Illinois will forge ahead with its $111 billion pension deficit (aka: unfunded liability). Meanwhile, "there are 86 million full-time private sector workers in the United States paying taxes to support the government, and nearly 148 million Americans that are receiving benefits from the government each month."
Well, ain't nothin' we can't fix with a little more QE = margin debt (leveraged liquidity) for the stock market, eh?

DIGGING THE HOLE DEEPER

The premiers of ON and QUE have a "meeting of the minds".  These two financial geniuses sign a
memorandum of agreement between the two provinces.

DON'T GIMME THIS FUNNY MONEY! GIMME REAL MONEY!

Jean-Claude Juncker, the new head of the European Commission, is next week expected to unveil a €300bn investment programme for the next three years aimed at boosting growth through infrastructure and other projects.
Emmanuel Macron, France’s economy minister said “I’m convinced we need real money and we need to use it in an effective way."
Poor old Freddy Bastiat just rolled over in his grave.

WHEN WHORES GET TO OLD...

...they get replaced, and end up whining all alone outside the brothel door.

IF YA CAN'T BRING MOHAMED TO YOUR MOUTAIN...

...why don't you just piss off south with your rose-coloured glasses and meet him on his.
Victoria BC resident Richard Brunt one week ago giving Obammy a tongue bath: The dollar is at its strongest levels in years, the stock market is near record highs, gasoline prices are falling, there's no inflation, interest rates are the lowest in 30 years, U.S. oil imports are declining, U.S. oil production is rapidly increasing, the deficit is rapidly declining, and the wealthy are still making astonishing amounts of money...When you are done with Obamma, could you send him our way?

Brunt one month ago belly-aching about his Victoria BC property taxes: StasCan tells us that our real incomes (after inflation) have not moved since the 1990s. Yet City of Victoria workers continue to get generous raises. I’ve just heard they got 2% each year for 3 years. Inflation is 1.4%. Please, please tell me you are not giving city workers wage increases well in excess of inflation, every year. If that is true, I want to know if you supported it.

THE VERY CURE FOR THIS AILING WORLD's ECONOMY...

...Government-assisted suicide!
"plan for jumpstarting growth includes investing in infrastructure, increasing trade and the creation of a global infrastructure hub that would help match potential investors with projects.
Leaders also aim to reduce the gap between male and female participation in the workforce by 25 percent by 2025, saying that would put 100 million more women in employment and reduce poverty."

NOTICE TO CHIEFS: YOU MIGHT NOT WANT AN INQUIRY, BECAUSE....

...behind all those missing and victimized aboriginal women....

...there just might be a "victimized" Indian man.

WHEN YOU'RE COLD, BROKE, HUNGRY AND....

...DEAD...will you still vote for the Ontario Liberals?

AH, THE OLD BLAME GAME...

Millennials are getting the old economic shaft, but are likely oblivious to the root causes. Here are some stats that scratch the surface of "sucks to be you guys: responsible for the baby boomers' unfunded liabilities", but the article also finishes with a pertinent example of "situational awareness".
CLA opinion: if you spend your time watching Jersey Shore rather than learning about your own country's revolutionary war, and the brilliant design and sentiments of its resultant constitution, you deserve to be screwed by the political oligarchs. Keep a-votin' for hope and change yo.

TAXPAYERS AND TAX CONSUMERS

The inherently nonproductive and oligarchic nature of government thus ensures that all nations under political rule are divided into two classes: a productive class and a parasitic class or, in the apt terminology of the American political theorist John C. Calhoun, "taxpayers" and "tax-consumers."

A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

Introducing the crazy concept that investors, shareholders, speculators and depositors, rather than taxpayers, should carry the risk of bank failure. Gee, that might require fatcat bankers to reassess risk, eh? Might also cause Joe Blow depositor to accept some of the burden of fiscal responsibility by assessing the fragility of the monetary system, rather than transferring that burden to his children and grandchildren who "some day" will be forced to deal with unfunded government liabilities.

A KNOT IN THEIR BERET

Protests against daycare fee increases are popping up in Quebec.
Seems the 7.30$-a-day to a sliding scale fee based on household income is just to much to bare.
The horror.... the fee might go to 20$ at the top end of the income scale. Collis. Tabernac. Lets riot in the streets and fling poutine!
The cost to the Quebec government for their subsidized day care program is 2.7 billion dollars a year for 223,000 spaces.
Hmmmm....what is it they say about socialism ending when you run out of other people's money?

SOLVE THE PROBLEM OVERNIGHT BY LOWERING TOBACCO TAXES...

...or seize the moment and create more useless government jobs.

THE SCARRING EFFECT SUFFERED BY THE UNEMPLOYABLE

Adult children stuck in their parents’ basements because they can’t find adequate employment should take unpaid work to bolster résumés as they wait for the recovery to take hold, Poloz said Monday in Toronto.
“Having something unpaid on your CV is very worth it, because that’s the one thing you can do to counteract this scarring effect,” Poloz told reporters was his advice to discouraged youth.
OK. Maybe that'll work. Or maybe a long-overdue boot in the arse...

PLAYIN' THE BONGOS

“With no warning, [Ghomeshi] just reached over and grabbed my genitals (through Hounslow’s jeans) and started fondling them. I was completely shocked and I reacted,” Hounslow said.

THE DISGUSTINGLY HIGH PRICE OF PROVING YOU'RE A SUPERMOM

And while you're at it, you may as well lick the huggies clean...

GRANNY WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG

"Everything in moderation" was her motto. Words to live by.
If you want words to die by: "the so-called science was cooked, manipulated and the data selected to show a desired outcome concerning low fat diets.Medical providers got very rich-while many people got sick and even died from heart disease, diabetes, obesity and more."
With Canada's socialized medical system, tax dollars pay for the human carnage, caused by the falsified studies.

WHEN THE IMAM TELLS US TO WAKE UP...

...you can bet it's time to wake up!
Assalaam Mosque Association president Abdulhakim Moalimishak said mainstream mosques are increasingly being challenged by extremists.

“I would not say this is an isolated incident. I would say there are groups out there that are trying to have a foothold in Islamic centres."

Moalimishak said extremists are taking advantage of the open-doors tradition of mosques and that mosques need help from the wider society to counter that threat.

"We came from war zones, we came from conflicts that we do not want to replicate in this great country of ours.… We do not want these places to be places of politics, of foreign agendas, and of groups who have no interest in co-existence."
