Yes, a cap and trade system would be perfect. Farmers could get paid to sequester carbon or whatever, and all the non-farmers in the province get screwed......what's wrong with that?
There's something nice about this. The stupid city voters who gobble up all the "take pity on the poor farmers who feed cities crap" are going to get another tax without Vaseline to support the millionaires they pity.
You nailed it Hughie. The OFA, CFFO and NFU-O are all run by Madames with identical whore houses, all set up on Queen's Park Crescent. The older whores inside sold their credibility many decades ago. The new generation grew up in those bordellos and apparently know nothing else.
I don't think there is much difference between the greedy landowning elites in pre-revolutionary France or Russia and these farmers who are profiting off the backs of the poor. It is the same let them eat cake attitude.
