LATEST ATTEMPT AT PHIXING PHOENIX

The federal government shifted its position on new training for the Phoenix pay system and is now making it mandatory for all employees and managers in its bid to stabilize the pay crisis.
The new training program will be mandatory and that all employees should be given the time to take the required online or in-person courses.
The training begins Dec. 4 with an initial rollout of 13 courses on GCPedia, the government’s intranet.
That will be followed by another 33 courses in mid-January, including instructor-led training for human resource staff and compensation advisers.
