85 YEAR OLD KILLER, DEMETER, STILL A RISK

Even as an octogenarian, Mississauga millionaire killer Peter Demeter can’t be trusted back out on day parole.
At 85, the notorious criminal who hired an assassin to kill his model wife in the garage of their Mississauga mansion back in 1973 had applied for release for the first time in 20 years.
But in recently-obtained documents by journalist Rob Tripp of Cancrime, the parole board says Demeter should remain in prison.
“Your history of counselling others to seek revenge for you makes you more of a risk of recidivism than your age and physical ability to harm others would suggest,” the panel says in its decision.
