EATON CENTRE KILLER MAY APPLY FOR PAROLE

In just over a year, Eaton Centre killer Christopher Husbands will be able to apply for parole — despite murdering two people and injuring six others.
He’ll have a chance, albeit a slim one, at a new life. A chance to put this all behind him — all while he is young and healthy.
And Connor Stevenson? He’ll never have a similar do-over.
The Sheridan College student will still have that traumatic brain injury. One-third of his skull will still be plastic. He will still have bullet shrapnel in his head. And he’ll still be living with the constant fear that if he falls and hits his head, he will die.
