The high-flying CEO of St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton has been given a pink slip after public outrage over his boarding pass for a Dominican vacation. The board of directors at St. Joe’s issued a statement late Thursday saying they were parting ways with Dr. Tom Stewart over his trip.
What isn’t clear from the statement is whether Stewart jumped or was pushed and what will happen with his generous severance clause, reported to be as high as $1 million.
