VICTIM'S HUSBAND SLAMS IRAN'S PLANE CRASH REPORT

Ahmadipour said the final report of Iran’s civil aviation authority, made public Wednesday, does not address why the flight was allowed to take off at a time when the country was anticipating a major U.S. attack. Iran’s defence forces were in a state of readiness for all-out war on the morning of Jan. 8, 2020, when the commercial flight left Tehran for Kiev.
“They’re hiding the information about the man responsible for ordering the missile launch and those who kept open the airspace that night,” Ahmandipour charged after reading the Iranian report.
Ahmadipour said he spoke Wednesday with other Iranian-Canadians who lost family members aboard PS752; no one, he said, put any stock in the report’s findings. “We know that they don’t want to tell the truth,” he said. “They want to hide the commander responsible and downgrade the responsibility to the operator.”
Ahmadipour said he suspected the plane was downed on purpose and he called on Canadian officials to take the Iranian government to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
