Well-known radio talk show host Lowell Green is retiring from active on-air duties, but will still make a daily appearance on Ottawa area radio waves.
Green, 79, has been host of the Lowell Green Show on 580 AM CFRA since 1993. The morning show had become a home for banter, arguments and complaints about various governments. Green is a controversial figure in the nation’s capital. He has an openly adversarial stance towards progressive politics – one of his books is called, “How the granola-crunching, tree-hugging, thug huggers are wrecking our country”.
We'll miss you Lowell.
Yes for sure...we will miss Lowell Green and his "Island of Sanity" conservative views on CFRA. Recently he and Don Cherry were passed over for an Order of Canada award..in favour of lefty loon Michael Harris (who had an afternoon talk show on CFRA and was let go). Funny that eh? How conservative views ALWAYS take the back seat.
