Ottawa tried to get the pharmaceutical industry to pay into a fund for victims of the thalidomide scandal, in what would have been a historic gesture of support toward the survivors of one of Canada’s worst drug catastrophes. But the companies refused, Canada’s former health minister has revealed.
There is no ethics with Big Pharma. They must sit around the board room table p*ssing themselves every time a new drug gets approval because as soon as Health Caanada approves a drugs use the liable is placed upon taxpayers if or when a problem arises from using that drug and Big Phanrma doesn't have pony up a cent. How does Health Canada go about approving a new drug? The approval is based on studies and research done by the pharmaceutical companies. What could go wrong?
