A regular complaint against PC MPP Randy Hillier is that he isn’t a team player, acts like a maverick and speaks out against the government. In short, he causes problems.
It may come down to different views of what the role of an MPP is and how tight a team must be. Does it mean that the MPP is the voice of the riding at Queen’s Park or the voice of the premier in the riding?
If Hillier isn’t allowed back in, the party could face trouble in his riding of Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston and possibly other rural ridings, as well.
