TOO LONG A WAIT TO SAVE SMALL BUSINESS

“Canada Revenue Agency says they will have a portal to apply for the wage subsidy in three to six weeks. I asked about four times how long after that businesses would get the money and the officials wouldn’t say,” Poilievre told me Wednesday afternoon.

Conservative Employment Critic Dan Albas, a former small business owner himself, said that this delay won’t work.

“When a small business owner hears ‘six weeks away,’ they hear three pay periods to be met, two month ends to make and two rent payments due between now and six weeks from now,” Albas tweeted after Morneau’s plan was released.
