Ontario Auditor General Bonnie Lysysk’s annual value-for-money report released Monday also raised concerns about a rising number of suspicious transactions at casinos that may have been related to money laundering, long wait times for needs assessment of adults with developmental disabilities, and a seriously under-estimated price for a now-cancelled Hamilton transit project.
The red flags identified in her report — such as the physician who saw 321 patients through virtual care in one day — predated the pandemic.
