We’ve always known the CBC is expensive – grossly expensive. It consumes, gulps, incinerates over $1.3 billion a year in tax money.
We learned this week in a federal labour ruling written by arbitrator Pierre-Georges Roy, as reported by Blacklock’s Reporter, that the CBC has seven vice-presidents, 10 directors general and five directors of finance.
And still the corporation whines that it is underfunded. Despite getting a $150-million boost to its budget under the Liberals, Catherine Tait, the CBC’s CEO has complained “we are covering the planet with very few resources.”
