The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.

Heh. Our daughter married a Scot turned Canadian and they got married in his home town of Glasgow. We had a heck of a time but not much different than an Indian reserve or maybe more like a government city like Ottawa. Not to many people working at real jobs.
Anybody with any ambition left 200+ years ago....and we know where they went :)
I know it is a very old wound but finally giving the index finger to England is long over due after the genocide of the Highland Clearances where sheep were more important than the Scottish people.

Things have improved for governments on both sides of the Atlantic since the sheep and people started interbreeding.
