WELCOME TO ABSURDISTAN

Where the tax-man doesn't want to find the evaded taxes of the Ivory Tower Trash, and the Government pretends it wants the tax-man to do so.

    "While it is getting a funding boost, the CRA suffered a series of cutbacks under the previous Conservative government and experts said it will take years to recruit and train auditors and investigators to take on “the big fish” of tax evasion."

  2. It is simply unbelievable that this government which ordered its immigration department to bring in 25,000 refugees in a matter of months can not get its tax department to get this relatively small amount of information in a similar period. No one in the press will see that though.

  3. CRA employees understand full well that there would be nothing to gain by opening this can of worms. Far better to plead overworked and understaffed and hope that it all just fades away. Things are going well, management and unions are all happy with the new fairy godmother, so there is no need to get her uncomfortable by exposing her friends.
