The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.
"..."The WTO's clear and consistent findings in support of Canada's position effectively supply a clear message to the U.S. — end this protectionist policy that creates economic harm on both sides of the border and comply with your international trade obligations..."
The Yanks must piss their pants laughing when this protect-supply-management hypocrite spouts this drivel.
They better be wearing Depends then Jamie. Supply management is the coddled ag industry in Canada....but in the U.S. their darling is sugar. No touching it or they cry crocodile tears. Watch for a push back by Canada with sugar tarriffs if the WTO ruling is ignored/stalled. Remember ya heard it on the Chopping Block first. :)
You mean all that sugar from sugar beets we produce in Lambton/Kent/Essex of S Ontario (processed in Michigan) and the plant at Taber, Alberta? We'll restrict those sugar "exports" as punishment. Ha Ha. I love it Glengarrian! We should also deprive them of our Eastern Ontario wine production while we're at it!
Ya got it the wrong way Pepsi George....the tariffs go on the American sugar imported INTO Canada....there is no other product from the U.S. more coddled than their sugar production and those tarrifs will sting.
Boy that Ritz is a work of art. I bet the Yanks are about as worried as if Elmer Fudd was stuttering I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down.
