The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.
The problem with a lot of RCMP members is that they swallow, hook-line-and-sinker, the tradition legends and myths to such an extent that it takes over their lives. They develop this twisted sense of how things are supposed to be, based on their silly views. The truth is far less glamorous. Like all cops throughout Canada, they are dong nothing more tan taking out the trash. And the RCMP has as many arseholes, bullies and dickheads as any other large police force.
Speaks volumes too of those brave fair-minded mounties who see it all happening and say nothing: "They don’t want to be tarred by the same brush." Now their whole organization is in disrepute. Brilliant.
I guess that is the way most law-abiding people look at it around here. Support for our local RCMP took a hit when all the big brass in Ottawa pushed the firearms registry and lied and said it was saving lives. Anybody with half a brain knew that was horse shit and we got pissed off when the ordinary working cops didn't have the guts to say so. My brother called out a corporal in our Tim Horton's on this. He said you guys know its horse shit but you're sitting there saying nothing.
