Indeed, the Liberal government’s Democratic Reform Minister, Maryam Monsef, recently stated, "We need to move beyond a system that pits neighbour against neighbour. Elections should unite Canadians and not appeal to narrow constituencies." If we had just a single party to vote for, which for the sake of discussion we’ll call “The Liberal Party of Canada”, there’d be no more negative ads, no more conflict creating debates, no more narrow constituencies – we’d all be happy Liberals
