Panicked passengers ignoring safety instructions in a mad scramble out of a plane after it collided with a fuel truck near the runway of Toronto airport caused many of the resulting crash injuries, the Transportation Safety Board found.
A collision last year between a Jazz passenger plane and a truck after landing at Pearson International Airport caused no fire but 15 people were injured, many of them because frenzied and fearful passengers disregarded direct instructions from the crew as well as safety signs — even threatening the lone flight attendant.
