The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.
I don't think this "official" BC stupidity will last very long. The "negative vibes" from Alberta have to resonate. And, it's not like they have an ally on this anti-oil stance to the west of them either.
Don't know about that tj, I'm afraid BC is terminally stupid. You would be hard pressed to come up with another province that has had such a sorry parade of governments over the last 30 or 40 years. Ontario is pretty stupid, but at least it had Harris for 2 terms - and even Quebec seems to have finally picked a guy who understands that some drastic action is needed. But BC just picks losers upon losers.
I will second you on that Sauerkraut. I was stationed in Comox for 4 years and I came to the conclusion that at least half the people in BC pray to John Lennon on a regular basis. Like wow man.
