ALBERTA ENERGY TOLD "IT'LL BE A-OK"

The first order of business for Rachel Notley was phone calls to business leaders and "partners in the energy industry."  "They can count on us to work collaboratively with them," she told reporters at a news conference in the Alberta Legislature Wednesday.

  1. Im not surprised what happened in our riding. The NDP knocked out Campbell the PC. Campbell was seen as a Prentice bumboy and the WR candidate didn't come across as sincere because he was a former government bureaucrat so the working guys and gals wanted nothing to do with him. It will be interesting to see how Notley handles this. She has committed to a 2 percent increase in corporate taxes and she has said the provincial oil royalties need to be increased. I wish her luck with her A-OK collaboration.

  2. She won't have it both ways. My guess is that she's like every other politician and isn't smart enough to realize that the election wasnt so much a vote for her but just a way to kick the old skunks out. She will react just like that lemon - sucker Bob Rae did and go nuts.
