Review finds no evidence of propane price fixing in Ontario & Quebec.
In conclusion there is no evidence to suggest a long term issue with supply-demand imbalance.
**UPDATE**
The NEB Final Report to the Minister of Natural Resources and the Minister of Labour.
They did not have to fix the prices. The law of supply and demand kicked in, overlaid by overwhelming greed. The same thing will happen next winter.
ReplyDelete"investigators with the Competition Bureau and NEB interviewed more than 68 propane market players for their review"
ReplyDeleteThat's the same as asking the fox how are things are down at the henhouse.
They have gotten away with the "blame the weather" mantra for the price spike....and yes...it will happen again!
You got that right. Plus, the OFA (Official Fox Association) told all the foxes to stay quiet about the real problem (hen reserves shipped south because EC predicted a warmer than normal winter) and pretend it was a shortage of hen wagons.
