Canadian Federation of Independent Business reports that businesses are giving thumbs down to Ont. Liberals' pension plan because it would take otherwise disposable income out of employers' and employees' pockets. But, a few short years ago the CFIB reported that a majority of small and independant businesses supported the HST - which was okay because, it only took disposable income out of consumers' pockets.
This doesn'yt surprise me at all. It is the same as the people who put solar panels in their fields. They are unable to think beyond next week or the boundaries of their own property. "If it is good for me right now that is all that matters".

DeleteWhat really boggles my mind is when the owners of private enterprises that are totally dependent on "discretionary" spending for their survival (campgrounds, restaurants, ATV dealers) are too stupid to realize that every extra buck a government yanks out of a working guy's wallet is a dollar less they have to spend on leisure.
