The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.
Contempt indeed. No wonder the General Manager of the South Nation Conservation Authority just smirked at me years ago when I suggested that he and his fiefdom would be called to account by the electorate some day soon. I guess he understood Ontarians better than I.
I was in an autoparts store this morning and the fellow behind the counter told me his neighbor had to put in a new septic system that cost almost 30 grand. I told him to start saving up his money, because the day was fast approaching when any system over "x" years of age would have to be replaced. Another young fellow behind the counter interjected with, "When that day comes they better be ready for a riot". My response: "In this ******g province? Not a ******g chance!" I'm still laughing at that one.
Is it time to play the Louis and Marie-Antoinette game? Please?
