INDIGNANT BLUSTER AND BOMBAST...

... same ol' same old.
Tim Hudak has a new plan.
And the Ontario mega-bureaucracy is cowering in fear, no doubt (sarc).
Will he repeal the Endangered Species Act? The Greenbelt Act? The Provincial Policy Statement on Land Use? The Clean Water Act? The Green Energy Act? Will he abolish Conservation Authorities, carve up Ontario Hydro or scale back the MNR and MOE? Nope. Nothing consequential. Nothing but claptrap.
Call back, Ontario PCs, when you've got someone or something of merit.

  1. Ontario "Progressive Conservative" Politics 101: Surround yourself with weaselly wee poli-sci fart-suckers who tell you every day how great you are, and to be extra careful to not alienate the centrists - the so-called swing votes. So you backpedal and piss and fart until you're a literal laughing stock. It loses the election every time. Keep it up PCs!

  2. I'm going to do something I've never done before: stay home on election day. And I'm as sick and tired of people admonishing me for my decidion as I am of the pseudo - conservatives who take my vote for granted. Here's how I feel.

    When your only choices are a crook, a commie, or a lozerl, would you flip a three - sided coin even if you had one?

    1. You know, I've been giving that a lot of thought too. Last election I supported Smith, but now she's sucking for the green vote like a turbocharged Hoover. And just watch, as the election gets closer she'll abandon all the hard line specifics and start making mushy noises like your hopeless Hudak.

  3. I can't for the life of me figure this Hudak guy out. He absolutely refuses to even mention the goblins that hobble this province: crippling regulations and the soulless, useless bloodsuckers that enforce them. The one thing that would get crowds roaring their approval, and instead, this blinking dink chooses to wave more paper in the air.

  4. Just another excuse-for-a-conservative who will do nothing for us on the property rights front. Once every four years he'll rub shoulders with the hayseeds because they tend to vote for him. But he couldn't care less if all of rural Ontario was designated "endangered species habitat". If he did care, he'd have spoken out against the regulatory land thefts a long time ago.

    1. Right on Jamie. The PC Constitution (http://www.ontariopc.com/files/Constitution-of-the-PC-Party-of-Ontario-2013.pdf) Article 2(e) states: "We believe that economic freedom, entrepreneurial spirit and the right to private property are essential to economic prosperity and political freedom." All of McGuinty's infamous Acts state "No expropriation or injurious affection" and "No costs, compensation or damages are owing or payable to any person and no remedy...". Private property rights are thus transferred to the state without compensation, and Hudak & gang have nothing to say about it. This political party is a lost cause.

  5. No doubt the suck-ups will start phoning soon. And I'll be answering a little differently this time around. I think a simple, "No, Tim Hudak does not have my support, nor will he ever until private property rights are guaranteed," will suffice. Except maybe not quite that polite....

    1. That is the way to do it. When the federal Conservatives call for money I tell them the same thing too. "When you guys give me property rights, I will gladly show my gratitude - please make a note of my comment and piss off and leave me alone until you have done so."

  6. Concepts you just won't find in the Ontario PC play book: guts; smarts; principles; toughness; compassion for the little guy;

  7. Had a call asking for support last Saturday evening. I asked the guy what Hudak was going to do about the hydro rates, like maybe shredding the contracts as Spain has done. The guy didn't know..... his job was to ask for money... needless to say he got none.

    1. Another question that Hudak doesn't want to hear. I can say with confidence that several of his sitting MPs voted along with the Liberals for the green energy act.
