According to a recent update from the Trans Mountain Corporation — the Crown corporation now in charge of building the Trans Mountain Pipeline (TMX) expansion — the total cost of the project has skyrocketed to a whopping $21.4 billion from an initial estimate of $7.4 billion. And the expansion project will not be completed this year as planned.
