Yup...We know that.
Even if the defendant (government) was acting outside of its statutory authority, and I emphasize that I am making no finding in that regard, the fact remains that the expropriation of the land was legal and based on Munro, the defendant is within its legal competence to change the purpose for which the said land was expropriated.
So, Tim.....whadaya think about all these parasitic solar panels and windmill contracts?
So the government can do what it wants...and it does. Now, let's see how long it takes them to do what they have to do.

ReplyDeleteWe took the kids up to Lake Huron last summer. The view along the Huron Ridge in the Goderich and Kincardine area, which used to be about the most beautiful countryside in Canada, is unbelievably spoiled by a hundred or so of these ugly bird blenders. If it wasn't for all the other damage it would cause I would pray for a huge storm to come in off the lake and lay these things flat. Everything about them is ugly. The looks, the economics, the philosophy of screwing your neighbours, the conspiracy between the government and the greedy. Why don't the Conservatives just come out and say what I just said?

DeleteThat's for sure, and maybe we can say the same thing about the province, and that includes the rural part. Most of my neighbours vote Conservative but if Hudak or our MPP stood up and started telling the truth about what a frigging mess we are in, they would all get scared. They don't want to hear about tougher times so the official Conservatives just stay quiet and sound just like the Liberals.
There is another side to it too. What is happening all through Europe with wind and solar us major news. But we can only find it via blogs and dedicated sites. Every now and then the major news outlets run a column but it's never in the main news or editorial section. And this is never ever on TV news. There can be only one or two reasons for this selective coverage. Lots of bias or lots of money.
