The Canadian Landowner Alliance advocates for provincial legislation that recognizes property rights, and, that the Federal Government of Canada enshrines property rights in the Charter of Rights and freedoms.
They must have the same editors writing their "for public consumption" brochures that King Rat McGuinty and all his little rats used when they printed the bullshit for the clean water act and theendangered species act. Funny how the parts that always get edited out are the parts that say "and now for the bad news".
Right you are lad. This is just about cut & pasted from Ontario. If we the gov't F@#$ you, you have no recourse: Every victim who is of the opinion that their rights under this Act have been infringed or denied by a provincial or territorial department, agency or body may file a complaint in accordance with the laws of the province or territory. No cause of action or right to damages arises from an infringement or denial of a right under this Act. No appeal lies from any decision or order solely on the grounds that a right under this Act has been infringed or denied.
Yup. So much for: Right to restitution: Victims would have the right to have the court consider making a restitution order for all offences for which there are easy-to-calculate financial losses.

ReplyDeleteThat's what i make out of it. But you'll still have the right to complain to the department that you can't sue. Wow! That's something, eh?
