Snopes says the photo was altered. True enough.
However, the altered photo is closer to the truth in this matter.
Come to think of it, here's another: NO MOTHER SHOULD HAVE TO FEAR FOR HER SON'S LIFE... WHEN HE RUNS AT AN ARMED POLICE OFFICER AND STARTS LANDING PUNCHES
