AND IN OTHER NEWS...THE POPE IS CATHOLIC!

Like OMG!  I'm like soooooo glad that someone is like reporting the glaringly obvious!

"Is Twitter making you STUPID? Social networking sites are making it hard for people to think for themselves."

  1. Well honestly now. Who's got time to read books about the historical implications of government largesse, currency debasement, social decline, warfare or soil degradation, when we could be following the petulant tweets of CBC reporters at the Sochi Olympics, disgusted that their humble hotel rooms have no wifi? What's stupid about that?

  2. Any day now the Ontario Min. of Ed will have focus groups to come up with a new subject called "communications" which will replace English literature and grammar. The argument will go that since our brilliant children will already be so advanced in this field by the time they hit grade one, there will be absolutely no need to devote the hours per year that are now spent on reading and writing. This will free up more time for learning about gender identity and bestiality. And more time off for our dedicated, over-worked and underpaid teachers.

  3. I think it is a parasite/host thing. I compare technology and all its trappings to a some kind of a parasitic bug that lays its eggs on a host. One egg is facebook, another twitter, a third one is e-talk, yet another is something else, etc,, etc. If the host doesn't have enough smarts (and they rarely do) to brush off the parasitic eggs, soon enough they suck everything - including the brains - right out of it.
