If YOU THINK A TEACHER MAKING $94K NEEDS INCENTIVE PAY...

...you might be an Ontario Conservative.

"Saying the minority Liberal government isn’t doing enough to improve the teaching of math, the Progressive Conservatives are calling for steps like incentive pay for teachers whose students boost their marks."

$94K, 12 weeks annual vacation, a 7 hour workday, 20 days of sick-leave, and a pension plan to die for...and they need incentive pay to do their job?

  1. I guess I've had things backwards all my life. I learned that if you didn't perform at the expected level, they fired you. Jeez, I thought that was incentive enough.

  2. Well, it's official. OPCs are even dumber than Liberals. A conservative would privatize education. Period. Maybe grease the transition with tax breaks for families with kids in school and government-funded scholarships for eager kids from low income situations. Nothin' better than a dad who "incentivizes" his kid to pay attention in class because he's out bustin' his balls every day to pay the tuition.

  3. Friggin' right Pepsi. I volunteered to be a guest lecturer in a high school science class a couple of years ago. Most kids sauntered in late - without comment from the teacher. Most either put their heads down to sleep while I was presenting, or had their backs turned, or interjected rudely with smartass shit throughout. Nothing from the teacher. The worst one followed me out into the hall while I was leaving to throw out one more wise crack. I went back and said "I won't kick your ass here in the hall, but I will outside. Let's go tough guy". He shit his pants and ran back to relative safety, but point is, a lot of those little shits don't deserve an education. To hell with public education and to hell with "progressive conservatives" too.

    1. There's an election around the corner and they just couldn't resist offering a test suck to the teachers' union. This is how incredibly stupid the OPC party is. Do they really think that any of these lazy turds who are under - performing at $94K would start doing the *&^#@*g job for $96K? And, do they really think that this silly little try to buy peace with a union that detests them will produce a lessening of hate on the campaign trail?

  4. I was listening to CFRA yesterday morning and was surprised at the number of people who were actually for this obvious piece of suckhole legislation. Tiny Tim never fails to surprise and disgust me. Does he think this will stop the union dollars from going to anti-Conservative campaigns?

That just about settle it for me.If I can't afford private school, I'm becoming a Mennonite. At least I know my kids will be receiving a good education.

Of course. That idea would resonate in a city full of unionized civil servants who think they are over-worked and under-paid.

  6. Like both the Liberal & PC morons...Your focus is on what $$ the teachers make & how they must be screwing up the teaching of math. Have any of you looked at your kids math homework lately? The problem isn't the kids or the teaching of Math... look at the Math curriculum the Liberals have created - it is all reading/writing stories....very little to do with math at all.
If this site is only about 'bashing' people who supposedly make more money than you than make that clear...but if you are interested in fixing what is broken in our province, then do the research.
