Calgary Herald: Released last week, the 232-page report provides new insight into the government’s involvement in the Keystone XL pipeline and the new Sturgeon refinery.
On Keystone XL, the province announced in January a long-term commitment to ship 50,000 barrels per day of crude on TransCanada Corp.’s pipeline system from Alberta to Texas, with an estimated cost at $2.6 billion.
What is less clear is the outcome of the province’s convoluted involvement in the Sturgeon refinery, being built northeast of Edmonton.
