LIBERALS AND THE MINIMUM WAGE

Nathan Stevens is General Manager and Director of Policy Development for the Christian Farmers Federation of Ontario. Nathan and the CFFO are supportive of the Ontario Liberal Government's "decision regarding the future of the minimum wage in the province with an increase to $11 an hour effective June 1st. Furthermore, the Liberal government intends to pass into legislation annual increases based on the rate of inflation as indicated by the Consumer Price Index (CPI)."
Nathan concludes: "The CFFO believes that the Liberal government’s decision regarding the minimum wage is a fair and reasonable one for both workers and businesses. It provides predictable increases that both businesses and wage earners can count on and plan for accordingly. The CFFO believes that agriculture sector will find ways to adjust their businesses to the new reality."
Has Nathan done his homework? What are his thoughts about the effect of "quantitative easing" and other means of currency debasement upon unskilled workers and their employers?

  1. Homework? How dare you question the erudite conclusions of the esteemed policy development director of the CFFO? If you don't like his ideas, you can always change loyalties to the OFA or the NFU-O. It's common knowledge that they represent widely divergent views on such matters of government policy.

  2. And, since this dickhead is cheering and waving his pom-poms for the Liberals on the minimum wage stuff, maybe he could tell us what his thoughts are about little farm kiddies "exploring gender identity" in grade two and discussing buggery in grade six.

  3. Same as the cattlemen out here. Got their snouts sniffing Redford's tail. They used to be a pretty independent bunch but now they bend over both ways for whatever comes out of the Assembly.

    2. I suppose. I guess that political grease smells the same no matter if you're in the east or west. And the butt-hounds here would probably chase the same bait if they were let loose in Ottawa or Toronto or UN headquarters.
