NP HEADLINE: BUDGET:MAKES LIFE MORE AFFORDABLE FOR "MOST VULNERABLE"

You know, the perpetually begging crowd....
"The largest single line item is an additional $500-million over two years for the Automative Innovation Fund, much of which appears to be destined for Chrysler’s minivan plant expansion in Windsor. Critics might argue this is closer to corporate welfare than investment in cutting edge technology."

Hey Harper, tell these guys they'll just have to wear that old tuxedo for another year or two.

"On average, Canadian auto-sector workers make about $35 an hour—$72,000 a year—plus benefits."

After all, we know what happens when you give addicts free crack.

No....somehow I just can't picture Turdo la Doo or Commie Tom arguing that line at all.

  2. There's the finance minister pissing taxpayer money away to save union jobs in Windsor. No doubt all the union slobs will support the Conservative candidate in the next federal election. What's this.....the fourth bailout for Chrysler? Anyone want to bet that it won't be the last?

  3. What I just can't get over is the support for this bailout from the business sector - most of whom style themselves as conservative.

Gary Lamphier's column in todays EdSun noted that the dean of U of A School of Business, cheered Flaherty pissing away tax-dollars on Chrysler The Corporate Welfare Bum.

And another Alberta twatski with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business had her knickers in a twist because the "hiring credit" for small-businesses was going to be eliminated.

I'm really, really worried because it seems that the default position of the business sector is that the government should be ripping off Peter to pay Paul.
