ONTARIO: OLD SARCEE WORD MEANING "PLACE WHERE DUMB LANDOWNERS HELP GOVERNMENT STEAL THEIR LANDS"
Your tax dollars - paying for someone to write this snot and drivel:
"The goal of the 50 Million Tree Program is to sequester carbon; enhance and diversify southern Ontario’s landscape; increase adaptive capacity to withstand climate change; moderate local climate by providing shade, moderating temperature extremes and reducing the effects of storms; increase wildlife habitat; increase soil and water conservation, and provide local economic opportunities."
Step right up folks! All you have to do is:
Sign a 15-year management agreement to maintain the trees...
Let me finish that sentence for ya:
...and you will have officially classified your property as Significant Wildlife Habitat and lost its use and value for ever and ever.

Hope it's fast-growing hardwood the dickheads are planting. After a few more winters with this kind of global warming, soaring Ontario hydro rates, and propane shortages, Stihl and Vermont Casting stocks will be a good investment.
ReplyDeleteAh yes......government at work. First we subsidize tree removal (ethanol mandate) then, when the screeching of the tree huggers gets too loud, subsidize tree planting. Brilliant!
ReplyDeletegoing to be lots of tree land because corn is a terrible price. maybe we can try to make ethanol from trees and really loose money.
