Gee, please give this guy a Landowner T-shirt. Too bad that the article appeared in one of the back pages. I guess that just shows the significance that people attach to important things.
In the GTA it is even worse because home buyers have to pay land transfer tax twice. Once to the province and once to GTA. One day soon there will be tumbleweeds rolling down Yonge street and everybody will wonder what happened.
In Ottawa, I am sure, the snivel servants have kept up with these increased costs with their cost of living and pay grid increases every year.It's the private sector that has fallen drastically behind. Not sure that I want to see more expansion of Ottawa anyway. It just means more parasites in the federal public sector for the private sector to support. As for tumbleweeds in Toronto......the whole godamn place could slide into Lake Ontario for all I care. I wouldn't miss it.
