The fly in the ointment, however, is that this inflationary default scheme can never work. Central banks have buried the world in massive malinvestment and unsustainable credit fueled growth that will eventually collapse. So a classic hyper-inflation will never break-out because there is too much capacity in the world economy to permit labor, commodity and industrial prices to explode.

WHEN WHORES GET TOO OLD...
...they multi-task for all to see.
Sucking...
we need our provincial and municipal governments to work together to identify ways to remove redundant regulatory hurdles.
and in the very next sentence, Blowing
we need municipalities to embrace the spirit of the new Provincial Policy Statement (PPS) when it comes to on-farm value-added industries and secondary industries related to agriculture.
For those who are not familiar with the PPS, from the perspectives of development and land-use, it is without doubt the most restrictive, confiscatory piece of legislation imaginable. "Embrace the spirit" indeed.

EU to set harvest records in both corn and wheat
Wheat drops to four year low on rising global output

'vantage number 1:
The incentive to move is the U.S.’s high corporate tax rate — 35% versus our federal rate of 15% — and its practice of taxing its companies on their worldwide rather than simply their U.S. income.
'vantage number 2:
Ontario reportedly has agreed to contribute $385 million in incentives. If Ottawa matches Ontario’s contribution, both levels of government will have covered about half of the total cost of the investment.

THROUGH ROSE-COLOURED GLASSES
Howlers from a Conservative back-bencher:
we understand that a small, efficient government is beneficial to the economy, our personal liberties and our daily lives.
and...
too much regulation and meddling will slow economic growth, limit individual initiative and impact the day-to-day lives of ordinary Canadians
and...
we’ve eliminated some programs and agencies that were not achieving results; and we’ve reviewed and reduced department spending levels throughout the federal government, including handouts to businesses from regional development budgets.
and...
most of my constituents and small businesses would prefer lower taxes to fatter business subsidies
and the final knee-slapper
if governments do, as the Post‘s editorialists write, “bring home the bacon,” voters know who’s paying for it.

WHO'DA THUNK IT???
Consumer Report identifies culprits responsible for Public's pessimism on farming's future.
"When participants think about the sector there is a tendency to envisage farms, livestock, crops, green pastures, endless wheat fields, and prairie landscapes. This type of imagery reinforces a view of the sector as traditional, rather than modern, progressive and innovative."
However...
"Recent surveys of the Canadian public have underscored a number of misperceptions about the agricultural sector and a relatively pessimistic public view with respect to its future outlook," the report says, citing "alarmist documentaries and media reports" as the culprits."
And just in case you think Ag Canada will soon straighten this out...
"The final report...was delivered to the department in April, but never publicized. It now sits quietly tucked away in its online archives ...."
